I have been working on and managing small farms around the country for the last 18 years, studying the systems that make them work. For the past 10 years I have traveled in the US and abroad consulting with farmers and researchers, teaching workshops and writing articles. Using my background as a mechanical engineer, I also design and build simple tools for small farms.
