Disable veteran

Hello everyone, I am Mike Harris. I am 43 years old, married with two grown children. I joined the Marine Corps when I graduated high school in 1987. While serving in Somalia I broke my back in four places while on a military convoy. The vehicle I was riding in when off a 20 foot embankment and rolled. I am currently a 100% disabled veteran. I started leather crafting about 3 years ago and sell items on my web site and craft fairs.

I am trying to buy a sewing machine to use in my leather crafting. I live and breathe leather, there is nothing I would rather do that work leather. I struggle with depression and feeling worthless, but the pride and satisfaction I get from making beautiful leather items for people keeps me going and make me feel useful. I currently sew everything by hand which is very time consuming and hard on my hands, I have carpal tunnel in both. I am getting to the point where my skill has improved enough that I have had opportunities to work on bigger projects, but had to turn them down because I cannot produce quantities when hand sewing. An ipad case that takes hours to sew by hand would take minutes with a machine.
