<p>Curtis grew up in Denver. &nbsp;He and his brother Paul produced directed the indie film "The Real Old Testament", a parody of MTV's "The Real World", that was honored at 12 film festivals the world over.</p> <p>Paul died suddenly in 2006 and Curtis eventually moved away from filmmaking and supported himself teaching. &nbsp;He became a full-time climate activist in 2010, and is intent on using his comedy to help save the world for his brother's wonderful daughter and all those fantastic kids he's taught in school.</p>
