Starting the Zombie Apocalypse
We are creating an intense, action packed street game this Halloween.
THE SITUATION: A rogue arms company has been building biological weapons in London. You are called in to investigate, but the situation spirals out of control and the streets are quickly infested with the walking dead. Your mission now is survival - dodge the infected in front of you, while outrunning those behind you. There are fellow survivors around the area who may have information that can help you find a safe place to escape. Expect the adrenaline to be high and friendships to be tested - are you sure that you can trust your friends in the apocalypse?
This event was formerly called 2.8 Hours Later and used to be one of the biggest street events in the world, with 70,000 people in 12 cities taking part over the course of 5 years. This relaunch is a fan takeover, and gives zombie enthusiasts the chance to bring back this iconic event.
The first event will run in central London for a minimum of 3 nights and 300-400 participants per night.
About the creator
I took part in 2.8 Hours Later several times as a survivor and zombie. When the business closed in 2015, I got in touch and managed to buy the rights to run the event.
I'm incredibly excited about this event because I know how much fun it can be and I also have lots of new ideas that I want to put in to make the run even bigger and better than before. For example, I want to develop the story elements of the game, to make them more compelling and interactive. I also want to bring in new ways of using small spaces to trap players and create a heart - thumping challenge, drawing on my experience in the escape game industry. To reflect the changes I'll be making, I've renamed the event Undead Escapes.
I run a successful entertainment company in London called Agent November. The business has had over 3,000 customers and holds a Certificate of Excellence from Trip Advisor, so I know what it takes to put on a great event.
I'm hoping to make Halloween 2016 a massive success so that I can bring the run back to other cities around the country. However I'm conscious that the previous strategy was flawed in that it expanded too quickly, so I'm absolutely focused on making sure every event is top quality.
Note: the previous directors and owners will not be involved in 2.8 Hours Later, and I was not involved in any of the decisions that led to the run being cancelled in the past. This is a new start and a whole new approach.

What We Need & What You Get
We are looking to set up a run incorporating several different venues. So we will need to pay for key things like venue hire and insurance.
We also have a shopping list of things that will make the night amazing: Actors, props, lighting, make up (lots and lots of fake blood!).
The core perk of funding us £45 or more is getting to take part in the event! You can also get a cheaper group ticket if you have some friends you want to be in a group with, plus there are some fantastic VIP tickets available if you want to be the big shot in the zombie apocalypse.
Bear in mind that if you pledge and then volunteer to be a zombie on a different night, you will be refunded the cost of your ticket! (note that this is subject to being selected as a zombie and passing zombie school. The refund value will be £45 for individual tickets or £40 for one person from a group ticket, or lower if the original ticket was discounted).
It's going to be a unique and unforgettable experience, make sure you don't miss out!
We also have stretch goals for if we exceed our target, extra things that we want to add to the experience (like a more advanced system for showing that you have been caught by a zombie and even a room that you have to escape from while an infected scientist breaks down the door!). So please share and retweet the campaign, the more people who get on board, the more fun it will be for everyone.
If we don't reach our entire goal, we aim to run a scaled down version of the event for fewer people, but which keeps the same level of excitement and adrenaline.
This event is strictly for over 18s only.
Other Ways You Can Help
This campaign depends on as many people as possible hearing about it.

Best of all, if you know of 3 or 4 people who would be really into this, can you please send them a direct message or an email with the link? It's the personal touch that really makes these things special.
Don't forget, a ticket to the apocalypse makes a great birthday or early Christmas gift!
