Who We Are
Boston You & Me Music is a Taiwanese band founded by George Huang in Boston, Massachusetts since 2017. Our music incorporates Taiwanese Pop, Folk, and Ballads. Boston You & Me performed at 5+ major events every year, including Newton Taiwan Day, Taiwan Night Market, Taiwan National Day Reception, and more! Reaching 5K+ audience in Great Boston Area.
大波士頓 You & Me 樂團是由黃崇校先生 (George Huang) 於2017年在麻省波士頓成立的台灣樂團。我們的音樂融合了台灣流行音樂、民謠和情歌。樂團每年會在五個以上的重要活動中演出，包括牛頓臺灣日、臺灣夜市、臺灣國慶招待會等。我們已經在大波士頓地區吸引了5,000多名觀眾。

Boston Taiwan Music Festival is set to make its debut at Hyde Playground in Newton on September 9th. The event is hosted by Boston You & Me, Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Boston (TECO), Culture Center of Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Boston (OCAC), and Federation of Taiwanese Student Associations in New England (FTSANE).
With an estimated attendance of over 2,000, this free entry outdoor music festival is a unique opportunity to experience the music of local Taiwanese bands and talented musicians from Berklee College of Music. The festival is dedicated to promoting Taiwanese pop music and culture, and we can’t wait to share this experience with you.
The theme of the music festival is “波音旺來”. “波音” not only represents the Boston Music Festival in Mandarin, but it also represents a plane taking the Taiwanese to North America. “旺來” carries many meanings: it includes wishing for a prosperous event and welcoming the audience, it is also a Taiwanese homonym for the fruit pineapple which is a representative fruit of Taiwan. We hope to leave a clear impression on everyone.
The performances will be presented by a local Taiwanese band and a bunch of talented musicians from Berklee College of Music featuring amazing Taiwanese singers.
由波士頓 You & Me樂團主辦，於2023年9月9日星期六於麻州牛頓市的台灣花園廣場舉行一場三小時的「波音旺來」——流行音樂戶外演唱會，規模雷同於台灣春天吶喊音樂祭，將成為一年一度波士頓台灣流行音樂盛事，由四組波士頓當地台灣樂團及歌手所演唱，演唱歌曲將囊括不同年代與風格的台灣歌曲或是台灣作曲家所創作之歌曲，以觸及不同年齡層聽眾。預期參加人數可達兩千人，時間於各學校開學之際，因此希望讓初來乍到的台灣留學生們可以透過這個活動更了解波士頓的環境以及跟前輩、學長學姊交流。新英格蘭台灣同學聯合會將協助組織留學生、波士頓各校台灣學生會設置台灣美食、台灣技藝文化等攤位。
音樂祭主題為「波音旺來」，其中「波音」除了代表波士頓音樂節之外，也代表著一架飛機乘載著台灣人來到北美。而旺來也代表著多重涵義：包含希望活動興盛、歡迎觀眾的到來、同時也是鳳梨的台語諧音，鳳梨一直是台灣盛產且具有代表性的水果。希望能給大家留下清楚的印象。

Why We Need Funding
We need funding to cover various aspects of a music festival, including stage rental, audio equipment rental, performers' wages, and printed visuals. It's our very first time holding Taiwan pop music festival in Boston, and $18,600 is not an easy goal to hit by merely sponsorship. While we are working on sponsorship of Boston local organizations/restaurants, we need your love and support too! We value transparency as well so we list our budget below :
