2City TV's Big Experiment: A Talk Show Pilot
2City TV is a creation of Chicago journalist and multimedia producer Zack Isaacs. Formerly 2City News, 2City TV is an integrated media outlet with three components: online news, video segments, and live event production.
All three components are integrated towards a 360 degree brand experience for viewers, listeners, and readers of 2City TV. (The website promotes the online video and live event components and vice versa.)
PURPOSE
The purpose of this campaign is to fund a pilot episode of 2City TV's new talk show tentatively titled, "2City."
"2City" is a talk show targeted to educated, single professionals between the ages of 25 and 45 who are looking for inspiration, motivation, and entertainment.
Topics will range from "Rags To Riches" stories to "Life Saving Inventions" to "Dark Family Secrets." It will be a web series eventually distributed in multiple formats including public access TV and DVD.
The Big Number $10,000
We need $10,000 to pay for key expenses in this project including 3 cameras, professional lighting, transportation for guests, and to pay staff members.
There will be TWO tapings on Saturday, July 20, 2013--making the average cost per taping about $5,000.
The show's creator and executive producer, Zack Isaacs, is skilled with cash flow analysis and profit projections. He is prepared to make adjustments if the project goes underfunded--but that would be unfortunate for all parties involved!
The Impact
There is a need for talk show programming geared to a younger, hipper audience looking for real people instead of celebrities.
There was a time when Oprah Winfrey had to pull people off the street in Chicago to attend her show. Now, it is one of the most successful shows in history.
We look to create programming that gives a voice to talented young people who want to change the world and inspire others.
