When it comes to your dreams, it’s never too late. Do overs are possible. The exciting part is that we are taking all our experiences and increased skills to make a new album that expresses what we never got to do 5 decades ago. We just got back from San Jose where we shot music videos and played together. We bonded again and the music has only improved.
The funding is going to pay for our music videos, engineers, recording studio time, our A&R consultant, album mastering, and manufacturing of CDs. Money is going to PUBLICITY, SOCIAL MEDIA experts, and MARKETING THE ALBUM.
We have learned so much. John Tristao toured with Creedence Clearwater Revisited for over 2 decades. Robbie Levin played bass with Rick Springfield, Denny Fridkin performed with Larry Norman, Gene Mason has been performing continuously since People! in San Jose bands such as Carousel and Bandanna. Currently he is with the Dave Holodiloff Band. Geoff became a composer for film and TV and founded CELESTIAL NAVIGATIONS with actor Geoffrey Lewis. They released 8 albums and charted on Billboard. Geoff has produced over 60 albums and is using his producing skills to make the new PEOPLE! album.
Also there is the process of “making amends” for Geoff and Robbie who became zealots and cut Larry, Mike Hunter and the band's career short. These amends are to the non-Scientology members of the band, friends, fans and family who were affected by the two band members following the toxic policies created by L. Ron Hubbard.
As the band comes back together “we get to make new memories for ourselves, our old friends and new friends.” We are musically mixing the old with the new. We hope that your contributions will help us make future musical history. The funding we get will allow us to record with full quality the new songs we’ve written and remake our old hit “I Love You”. This includes A&R consultant fees, studio time, engineer costs, outside musicians and guest artists, strings, cost of making CDs, album cover, new photos, publicity and actual records for those who appreciate vinyl.
The perks for donations start with a digital download, signed CDs and records, autographed guitars and drum heads from band members, bonus tracks, band merchandise, T-shirts, patches and posters. For those songwriters and musically inclined: recording time in L.A. for you to record or one of your songs arranged, recorded and sung by John or Gene or both. And for a limited number of guests we offer the perk of spending two days with the band in our home town of San Jose, which includes hotel accommodations.
For anyone who wants several items such as several CDs or signed CDs please contact Geoff Levin listed above. Arrangements can be made.
We feel that our story is very relevant today. It started 50 years ago when members of the band joined an organization (Scientology) that preaches division of friends and family based on the practice of disconnection. A very toxic and destructive practice.
That’s what led to the band breakup in 1968 and later Geoff severing his ties with his brother Robbie for 33 years (1984-2017) because Robbie left the organization. And when the band got back together, Geoff’s children, Collin and Savannah, severed their ties to their dad because he chose to reconnect with his brother Robbie (who was declared "an enemy of Scientology" and labeled an SP (suppressive person) by the organization. Disconnection is the evil practice meant to separate family members from each other just because they no longer want to be involved in Scientology or do not agree with it's practices.
The band feels that we are helping to heal our emotional scars and bad memories and that we can make up for the lost opportunities and pain we all felt, it’s about following our dreams no matter what age or circumstances. We are recreating our musical family and making an album born out of our 50 year journey. For the whole story and a sample of what we've been working on:

What we are up against are the possible repercussions of the Scientology organization with its loyal members attacking us because we dared to tell our story; a story we kept hidden for 50 years. Thanks to journalist Tony Ortega for opening Geoff Levin's eyes to the truth that Scientology kept hidden.
We are so happy we can finally share all this with our family, friends and fans.
Please help us get the word out. “It ain’t over till it’s over”; follow your dreams. Please let others know about our story so they won't make the same mistakes. That’s the best way you can help us complete our album and tell our story.
Thanks.
