About Glitch City

Glitch City is the home of indie games in LA. Founded in 2013, we are a collective of gamemakers and creators who also host events in our shared studio. Glitch City is a crucial space for us to create, play, support, and learn from each other.

This year we celebrated 10 years of operation as an indie developer space, making us one of the oldest communities of our kind in the world.

Why a new projector?

We're raising money for a new projector because we've begun to host more workshops here in Los Angeles, but we also post them online for anyone to benefit, for free.

Our current projector is 16 years old(only 720p) and is too dim to display workshop presentations during the daytime. As a result, we are only able to show presentations on TV screens that are not very big, sometimes in a room full of people sitting far away from the screen. A new projector with high quality brightness would upgrade our workshop setting immensely, and benefit our space in a huge way.

We're lucky that our deeply experienced community of developers is passionate about sharing their knowledge. The topics covered at Glitch City workshops range from development, process, culture, opinion, play, and more. Check out some of our recent workshops at these links:
