During an ordinary Witcher day, in a small village near Novigrad, Geralt stumbles in a very peculiar contract: the search of an artifact in an abandoned castle.
Geralt will manage to sneak into the castle, but a mysterious black figure seems to be watching him... who is this figure? What is this artifact? Who will join Geralt in this adventure? A Trilogy of episodes will reveal you the whole story, if you support us!

The Team
I'm Daniele Cosenza, an italian photographer that is focusing mainly on Cosplay. During my activities, i met many amazing cosplayers, loving the way they were passionate about their characters.
Since i'm also a big Witcher fan, i was amazed by the work of Taryn Cosplay, and when someone proposed me to produce a short video about this wonderful universe he was the first on my list. I also needed someone skilled on videomaking, someone that could be passioned to make an experience like this, and i found it in Davide Morabito, another Witcher fan that surely knows how to hold a camera. Last but not least, in a fantastic world like the one of The Witcher, i knew i would need a visual effects editor, and i was lucky to already have him as a friend: Gianluca Vecchio is a master in his field, worked on many popular titles, like "Star Wars: Rogue One" and "The Martian", and he will surely be a key value to our final product.

What We Need & What You Get
With this crowdfunding campaign we are willing to fund a trilogy of 6-8 minutes long episodes, using same structure of the pilot (music + images), adding epic voice-over acting to better explain what is happening on screen.
If you watched our short movie, you already know what to expect. The episode 1 was made at totally zero budget. We also had a very short time window: only 1 day of filming and 1 month to edit and publish it.
Now, imagine what we could do if we will be properly funded! Just some examples:
- Rent a "Roach" for our Geralt, and other horses for other characters
- Hire Live GDR groups to recreate the atmosphere of a Witcher Village
- Invite best Cosplayers from all around Europe to impersonate other characters
- Travel in amazing locations to make Geralt adventures even more epic
- Rent professional equipment, for better video quality
- Better CGI and Visual Effects
And this is only an example!

How we plan to use funds
We are not planning to earn money from this, we just want to avoid giving up to something just because it's expensive, and you can be sure that every penny will be used for the production of the movie (we will keep you updated on every expense).
-
Equipment Rental
This is very important for us, because what we did till now was done using our own not-so-professional equipment. We want to overcome this limit, and will dedicate about 20% of the funds to this purpose.
-
Cosplayers travel and expenses
We are planning to invite one or two cosplayers to play key roles, we will have to pay them expenses for travels, room and board. We will limit our search to European countries and use about 15% of the funds.
-
Crew travels and expenses
We are planning to travel and discover new locations all around Italy, to give the movie an intriguing mood, we will keep all expenses to the minimum, travelling by car and sleeping in hostels, and you will get all about what we do in our socials. About 25% of the funds will be dedicated to this.
-
Horses rental
What is a Witcher without his Roach? We will use professional support to have horses into our project. 5% of the funds should be ok.
-
CGI and Visual Effects
Our new episode will make a stronger use of CGI and Visual Effects, and we won't compromises on quality! That's why it gets the bigger slice of the pie, about 30%.
-
Advertising
We would like to perform a strong advertising campaign to spread our creation all around the Witcher world community, so we can get even stronger for future projects! We will dedicate 5% of the funds to it.
-
Various
We can plan as much as we want, but there will surely be unexpected expenses, so we will keep a small purse for that by saving money here and there ;)

Under-funding and Over-funding
Our campaign is flexible, it means we don't have to reach our goal to begin production, but of course the amout of funds we get will impact what we do.
-
0 - 1000 €
it means we failed, we will refund you if you ask us, or keep it as donation and support to try it again and better
-
1000 - 2000 €
we will produce another episode with same features of the first one, it will be just better because we will take our time
-
2000 - 3000 €
same as before, we will add a bit of CGI/Visual Effects features
-
3000 - 5000 €
better equipment renting, to bring the production on another level
-
5000 - 7000 €
we will consider travelling to other locations to bring Geralt adventures on a more epic level
-
7000 - 9800 €
Only within this range we should be able to give all as promised, maybe saving some money here and there ;)
-
> 9800 €
every penny we get over our planned goal will open the door to many other possibilities, like:
- original soundtrack and professional sound editing
- bonus episode
- more cosplayer invitations
- travel to film in foreign countries (Poland? :P)
You can be sure about one thing: every euro we get (less or more than planned) will be used to the best, to give you that true feeling that only a "made by fans, for fans" can give.
Timing plans
If we get a full funding, we are planning to begin shootings by the end Q2 2019 and release the first episode in the begin of 2020. Partial funding could lead to different timings, depending on what we do, but surely we won't go over this time.
Risks & Challenges
We know this is not an easy task, we will face lot of expected and unexpected problems, but you can be sure that there's a true Witcher heartbeats in this project and we won't do anything that goes against it. If we face a problem doing something, instead of doing it poorly we will rather not do it at all, or do something else instead. That's our philosophy.
