This is a feature-length documentary film intended to help shift the conversation around female aging. Shot between Los Angeles and Orange County, California, it touches upon 4 major themes:
- Commonly-held notions about femininity and youthfulness
- Love and relationship dynamics related to aging
- Inner freedom from limiting beliefs
- Learning how to embrace aging through self-awareness

I was inspired by my individual research as well as interviews with women over 40 to make a film in honor of women's personal experiences with aging, romantic relationships, and self-appreciation to show another side of womanhood and help change people's perceptions about women and aging.
My vision is to create a film that inspires self-empowerment, deeper reflection, and positive change in my audience. I want to give a message of hope to women who have struggled with inner conflicts about female aging and to shift the way people think about, speak of, and treat women in relation to their age. By bringing the uncomfortable topics about female aging into the light, I wish for my film to validate the experiences of women who have gone through conflicting feelings about aging while simultaneously showing a way to overcome their struggles. It is also my intent to help foster greater mutual empathy between men and women to establish more harmony into this world.

Being a new filmmaker with no real connections to other individuals in the film industry, I didn't know how I would bring my vision to reality. I was initially consumed by a great deal of fear and doubt, but knew that I had to get my vision out there.
I allowed my inspiration to guide me and continued to have faith that everything would work out. With the help of my amazing film crew, I have interviewed 6 people so far, with several more interviews to go. The biggest challenges have been working around time constraints and learning to be resourceful with what we had, but each obstacle has nonetheless taught my team members and I something valuable to learn from.
