Who are we?
Track Warrior Racing is a group of civic
minded race fans that include small businesses, corporations,
individuals and celebrities, dedicated to helping keep the "Adopt a
Hero" program on the hood of NASCAR race trucks and cars to bring
awareness to the program. The "Adopt a Hero" program was developed by
NASCAR driver Ryan Rust and his family to help make a connection between
our U.S. soldier warriors that are deployed overseas and citizens at
home who voluntarily adopt them during their deployment. The adopters
who have used the program have sent over 300,000 care packages and over 1
million letters to soldiers since its inception.
Track Warrior Racing has partnered with the
Rust family to bring a greater awareness to the program by pledging to
keep the program in the public eye and by bringing it to a much larger
stage on the hood of a NASCAR Camping World Truck series team in 2014.
What We Need & What You Get
In order to keep the truck racing on the track, it takes money. We aren't expecting to get all of it here at indiegogo.com, but it takes about $25,000 per race to pay for all the expenses involved. Here are some of those.
- Tires - it isn't sexy, but they cost about $2,000 a set. Multiple sets of tires are needed each race.
- Trailering car to racetrack.
- Paying driver and crew.
- Entry fees.
- GAS!
Why should you get involved?
- By getting involved with our team, you are doing much more than sponsoring a racing truck. You are helping make a difference in the lives of our military men and women who are in combat zones actively fighting for our country.
- You are helping get the word out about Adopt-A-Hero
- No matter how close we get to our goal here, we will have succeeded here on indiegogo.com because YOU read about Track Warrior Racing and the Adopt-A-Hero program. We hope that you will not only sponsor our race team to keep the Adopt-A-Hero logo on the hood, but that you will also get involved and Adopt a Hero yourself! The Impact
By helping us keep the Adopt-A-Hero name on the hood and the truck on the track, you are helping us get the word out about this great program.
- Our soldiers will know that there are people at home who care about them and what they are doing.
- This is a proven group. Over 300,000 care packages have already been delivered to our military in combat zones.
- One of my students, who was a Marine who served two tours, shared with me how much it meant to him when a group of American citizens through the Adopt-A-Hero program adopted his whole platoon. When they received care packages and letters from people 'back home' it was a great encouragement to them.
- You can be part of making that happen!
