AFTER CHRISTMAS

 OUR STORY

Georgie is a seven year old Puerto Rican boy raised in the United States. He goes to Puerto Rico for the first time after Christmas to spend the rest of the holidays. This being his first Puerto Rican Christmas, he finds it hard to accommodate to the traditions that apparently are part of his culture. Georgie will have to accept or decline this part of his identity.

INSPIRATION

After Christmas is a short film inspired by the Three Wise King's tradition, a holiday celebrated in January 6 across all Hispanic communities. We want to share this tradition with the world and show how we celebrate one of our most treasured traditions with great joy and happiness.

LOCATION

As mentioned before, the story is set in Puerto Rico. The production will be showing different locations of the Island of Enchantment. The Christmas party will be shot at a lovely home donated by the Matos Torres Family in Aibonito, Puerto Rico.

We don't need millions, but we do need $5,000 to cover the following:

• Feed the Cast & Crew (very important!)
• Rental Fees for Equipment
• Submission Fees for Film Festivals
• Insurance and Marketing Fees

Why After Christmas?

• The story is about FAITH at a very young age, how we lose it and how we gain it back.
• We want to show another side to the Puerto Rican culture. A side that people from different parts of the world can relate to.
• It showcases the tradition of the Three Wise Kings. This beautiful tradition has lost importance in different cultures. We want the opportunity to present it to the new generations.
