What is AIR MENTOR
There's no a convenience way to monitor full indoor air quality that cover most standards from WHO and most countries. AIR MENTOR PRO is designed for this. It's a highly integrated Air Quality Monitor with built-in industrial grade sensors, and can stably monitor air pollutants including:

Why we invent it?
We decided to invest this product and service due to we faced serious public safe events in Taiwan last year. 2014 Kaohsiung gas explosions (
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2014_Kaohsiung_gas_explosions) is one of them. 32 people were killed and 321 others were injured in that event. We started to study and research worldwide standards of air quality and found people usually ignore the indoor air quality due to they think the indoor environment is safe enough. However, from WHO's report and our real observation results, indoor air quality is usually not so safe as people think.

Each year more than 4 million people die from indoor air pollution. People spend 70-90% of their time staying indoors and we inhaled the air more than 15,000 liters in daily , but unfortunately, indoor air is far more polluted than outdoor air. That can cause general population headaches, allergies, asthma, and memory loss.
Some overseas studies had found a relationship between the levels of several pollutants in the indoor air and impacts of human behavior.The studies had found that as a good indoor air quality, appropriate ventilation with clean fresh air can also reduce infections and chronic lung diseases. In contrast, Poor indoor air quality can cause or contribute to the development of infections, respiratory diseases, chronic diseases, allergies, and even stroke and other complications are more common there is an immediate drowsiness, dizziness, headache and other phenomena.

Fulfill WHO's suggestion of monitoring air pollutants
Air quality monitors existing in the world now are not complete featured. There're CO2 monitor, CO monitor, etc. but there's no integrated full-function monitor that can monitor air pollutants in a signal device. So we design the spec. of air mentor professional to follow the WHO's suggestion of monitoring items which include particulate matter 2.5/10 ( Particle size > 1.0μ m), CO2, TVOC (including Alcohols, Aldehydes, Aliphatic hydrocarbons, Amines, Aromatic hydrocarbons, CO, CH4, LPG, Ketones, Organic acids, etc.), temperature and relative humidity.
Start to work
Just turn on the power switch of the back of Air Mentor, and the Air Mentor start to detect air quality immediately. It builds in industrial grade sensors and intelligent computing algorithms, which monitor the real- time and provide high accuracy measurements of indoor air quality.
Air quality monitor need to be understood easily to all people, so we give up digital number display on device, we use breathing LED to show US Environmental Protection Agency's color index of the air quality. Children can easily build their air quality knowledge by our AIR MENTOR.

Bring it with You
You can carry air mentor with you any where you go. For supported mobile usages, instead of real time detection, the CO2 and Particulate Matter sensor will detect every 15 min under built-in battery mode . And the power can last for about 24 hours. By the way, you can initial a real time detection by pushing the button on the Air Mentor all the time.

Air Mentor APP
When connecting to the sensor, AIR MENTOR APP can show real-time individual measurements and it gives advising for improving the air quality. Our purpose is to provide an easier tool to make your indoor air quality simplify. We also provide iOS and Android App to display tips and suggestions of detection results.

Tracking your air quality
AIR MENTOR sensor can record 3 days measurements, when Smartphone closes to the sensor and the APP will connect to it and download recording data automatically.
Users can check the air quality changes by hourly, daily, weekly, and monthly, and can also mark notes into the chart for long term tracking and improvement.

Design
- Overall structure fits snugly and yoga style. The combination of LED light shows the air quality on each level with different color and breathing frequency.

- Air Mentor is very appropriate to be placed in any corner of home, office, store, etc. You can put it standing on a desk as well as mount on the wall. We suggest you to place at a fixed location for long time monitoring the indoor air quality, so you can know the change, the trend., then know how to handle it. However, the built in battery can also make you temporarily use the sensor in other location.

The product is almost done in final stage. After Indiegogo activity closed, we can ship right away. If we get more early bird, we get more confidence to make it better in the future for people's health and safety.
Please notice that there are some smartphone requirements for app: The air mentor app works only for Android v4.3 or above on device with Bluetooth 4.0 and iOS 7 or above on iPhone 5, 5S, 6, 6 Plus. APP available for iPhone 5, 5S, 6, 6+, iOS7, iOS8. Android Phone BLE performance depends on Smartphone Types.

Can you describe more about the sensors inside AIR MENTOR PRO?
There are 4 major sensors inside AIR MENTOR PRO. We choice those sensors due to they have been used broadly in many industrial an building ventilation systems. Under normal use they have performance of relative accuracy, C02 especially good among them. And both of TVOC and CO2 sensors have automatic calibration features.
2. What kind of sensor technology are used?
The sensors used for particulate matter detection by optical sensor and CO2 detection is NDIR type. And, MEMS based sensors are used for TVOC and temperature/humidity.
3. What can AIR MENTOR do for me when I see the air quality show red color?
Firstly, you are getting aware of air quality becoming bad.
Secondly, you can launch AIR MENTOR APP on your smartphone and know what the major pollutant is?
Then, you can see the effect of the major pollutant and group that may be affected.
Finally, there're suggestions for you. For example, in many cases of temporary high TVOC concentration, open window is a fast method to improve, but the APP also suggest you to place some indoor plants, e.g. Spathiphyllum for removing VOCs by very natural way.
