ALCARA is now throwing itself in a new project and need your help to impulse. If you wanna be part or help us to realize our dream, here’s a little explication.
After spending few years in-between San Blas islands and Bahamas doing charter on board of Vicky II, Zenith II, Tango, Nuvola, About Us and Vox Veritas Vitae, ALCARA now wants to adopt her own baby, a catamaran Nautitech 47.5 of 2001.
We found this abandoned boat in a marina in Bahamas and jumped on the occasion. The only problem is that it needs a little bit of love, work and money to restore it and sail it on the seven seas of the world again.
AND that’s where you guys enter in the game. If you believe in our project and dream of life and are willing to help us giving it a second life we decided to open an online crowdfunding kitty.
But more than a normal donation-based crowdfunding, we would like to make you participate to this adventure onboard with us depending on your donation.
For those who don't know about us and didn't meet us, Alcara is a team of three, Alexia, Carlos and Raphaëlle (2 sisters from France and from Venezuela, our captain Carlos, boyfriend of Alexia). For a few years already, we have been working on boats in paradisiac islands called "San Blas" in Panama and now in Bahamas. For all those years, facing how much the human impact can be disastrous on the ocean and nature (beaches fulls of trash and plastic, endangered species due to their over consumption) we have been dreaming to get our boat and launch our own project of environnemental protection.

Nous avons trouvé ce bateau abandonné dans une marina aux Bahamas et avons sauté sur l’occasion. Le seul problème est qu’il a besoin d’un peu d’amour, de travaux et d’argent pour le restaurer et pouvoir le refaire naviguer sur les septs mers.
