INTRODUCTION
Hello friends! I’m excited to share that I have been accepted as an Artist in Residence at Green Olive Arts in Tetouan, Morocco! This incredible, career altering opportunity will nurture my artistic practice to new levels. During my residency in Morocco, I will be exchanging thoughts, skills, and collaborating with other artists from around the world, local artisans, cultural groups, and the community in Tetouan, in the spirit of cultural exchange, greater cross-cultural understanding. My residency, beginning in late September, will focus on Moroccan fiber arts, I will learn about the deeply rooted history, traditional practice of weaving, embroidery, and textiles.
However, there are funds associated with maintaining a studio practice during my residency in Morocco, in order for me to take full advantage of this opportunity. I need your support! I invite you to Partner with me by pledging any amount you're willing. In exchange, I'm excited to take you on this journey with me and bring you back a piece of Morocco!

ABOUT TETOUAN, MOROCCO
Situated in the North of Morocco, on the North-Western tip of Africa, Tetouan sits by the Mediterranean Sea in a beautiful valley at the intersection of two rugged mountain ranges. Tetouan’s ancient walled city is a UNESCO World Heritage Site with a rich history and culture hidden within. The city stands as a haven of old world artisanry, sumptuous spices, labyrinthine streets and dramatic landscapes. With its countless art festivals and associations, Tetouan has art “in its blood” at a grassroots level that is rarely seen in this part of the world.
