Alien audio drivers are coated with graphene acoustic membranes. Graphene is a thin yet sturdy material with excellent conductivity, that allows sound waves to oscillate at their precise frequency, no matter what kind of music you're listening to. CKCOM is comprised of talent across design, hardware, and product. In the past few years, we've helped other companies manufacture over 10 different products. We have a vertically-integrated supply chain, allowing us to have unique lean manufacturing capabilities that other audio brands don’t have. Some of the products we’ve made and shipped in the past include Apple MFi-cables, bluetooth car headsets, and smartphones.
We’re excited to launch our first audio brand, Alien, through Indiegogo in order to fulfill our dream of becoming a global audio leader. We’re very experienced on the manufacturing side, but it's our first time building a brand, and we need your help to build better products.

This is not our first time mass-manufacturing a product. We've already paid for fixed costs, including the molds, so there is little to no risk in manufacturing this product. The money you pay in crowdfunding will go toward the cost on each additional unit that we produce and ship to you.

About Shipping, Returns & Exchanges
What is your returns & exchanges policy?
If you receive a defective or broken unit, we will resend a unit or process a full refund to you. We will help process exchanges as long as we have inventory–if not, we’ll send you your money back.
When will I receive my product? What if I receive it past the listed date?
We have experience with production runs of up to 5,000 units at a time with other products we’ve made in the past, meaning that we’ll put in the order as soon as we finish the campaign. From that time, it will take 1 month until we can get it across the sea and to your door.
We will honor our timelines as best as we can and aim to ship to you by Christmas. December generally is a busy time to be shipping due to the holiday–if we hear of any delays on the shipper’s side, we’ll notify our backers immediately. We won’t be able to refund you for shipping delays, but if you decide to cancel your order before we put the order in for a product run, you’ll get 100% of your money back.
What happens if I never receive the product?
We’ve already done a production run of 500 units to test for defect rates (we have photos and videos to prove this). Things are looking great so far. We do not foresee any challenges in scaling up the production quantity. If we aren’t able to ship to you, we’ll refund your money.
How much is internationally shipping? Am I responsible for taxes and duties in my country?
We will cover shipping to US and Canada. For areas outside of this, we will charge a flat $15 shipping rate. This extra fee will help us cover some of the costs we incur in shipping it from our manufacturing facility to your door. Keep in mind that you are responsible for paying your own country’s taxes and duties.
Can you ship to my country?
Right now, shipping is limited to regions where our shipping service provider operates. Since this is our first launch, we want to keep operations lean to ship the orders that we feel most confident about. In the future we may open up orders to new countries as it’s our goal to become a global audio brand. Thanks for bearing with us in the meantime!
When is the shipping date?
If you placed your order on or before November 9th 11:00PM PST, then your order will be shipping by December 2017. Orders placed after that (including now) will be shipping to you in January 2017, in order to accommodate for the busy Christmas logistics schedule and production lead times. For InDemand purchases, shipping will be in March 2018.

What is "graphene"–why is it important and where can I learn more about it?
In a nutshell, graphene is a material that can be used to enclose audio drivers in our headphone. It is more expensive than the enclosure materials typically used in traditional earbud products, and it is more commonly seen in higher-end headphones because of the high material cost. You claim to have designed, manufactured, and shipped products before. How can I learn more about those?
CKCOM is an original electronics manufacturer, which means that we have helped other brands manufacture products before through our own factory resources. Because they are our customers, we cannot list all of the brands because of confidentiality agreements. However, we have some information that we can share selectively upon request. I’ve seen similar products on Amazon or other sites–are you a reseller?
This is our first time launching our own brand as a factory, and we would love your support to help us bring our pilot Alien brand to life. It’s our dream to create an audio brand that people around the world love.
We are not resellers. We are CKCOM, the original electronics manufacturer of the Alien earbuds brand and other audio brands. This means that we own the supply chain and factory, and help other companies manufacture products. Your Indiegogo order guarantees that you receive our best earbuds directly from our production line.
Why is the product so cheap on Indiegogo?
Compared to other crowdfunding teams, we own the supply chain. In most cases, crowdfunding teams will work with a 3rd-party, contract manufacturer. Since we own the factory, we control the costs, and source our own supplies. This means that there is no middle-man service fee for any components or services we use. This is how we can offer a premium product at a price lower than other competitors on the market. Being based in Shenzhen, China means that we live a 45-minute cab ride away from our own factory.
