Short Summary

We are a group of 25 young engineering students from TKM College of Engineering, Kollam, Kerala. This is our maiden try at SAE Baja and it is important for us as it is a way that helps us go beyond textbook learning. here we get to apply the engineering knowledge necessary in making an actual product and we get to deal with the various problems faced in the industry during the same. so in a nutshell, by participating in this competition, we get an actual industrial experience. So in a way, this is a form of social service in view of students getting on-hand experience in their favored field.

What We Need & What You Get

The overall budget of the project is USD 8000 which includes various aspects of manufacturing such as steel procurement, purchasing various parts (Suspensions, Steering rack, Engine, Break assembly, Transmission, Body works, Electrical fittings), transportation of vehicle from Kerala to Madhya Pradesh (event location - Indore).

We hope to make at least half of the total budget (USD 4000) through this crowd funding platform. Major contributors would be mentioned specially in our various social media platforms and in Baja related programs.

If by chance, we don't reach our target budget, we would have to turn to our own (already exhausted) pockets for the same.
