ALPHA DOGS is a comic for dog lovers and comic fans.  The comic series features BUCK, a pit bull born with the power of regeneration along with heightened intelligence and strength. Buck yearns to discover the origin of his super-powers, but the truth is more shocking than he could have ever imagined.

Why I wrote ALPHA DOGS.

The hero of my story Buck is inspired by PIG, my pit bull mix. Pit bulls carry the stigma of being dangerous dogs, and while some can be, they are also are very loving animals. 

Dogs like people are not born bad or good but I believe it is how they are raised that dictates their personality. Another theme of Alpha Dogs is the pain felt by dogs (and children) when their owner/parent abandons them after taking up with a new lover. I want to share this cautionary tale of abandonment from a dog's point of view.

Who am I?

My name is Jon Dexter. I'm the creator and writer of ALPHA DOGS. I have also created the comic book STEEL HAWK. I am a two-time Academy Awards screenwriting contest semi-finalist for the screenplay THE WEEPING TREES. Alpha Dogs has been a four-year passion project I hope will become a series.

Fernando Melek

He is a top illustrator artist for Stone Tower Studio and the main artist of this book. He has been drawing professionally for more than 15 years and his comic work has been published by big companies such as Marvel, IDW, Dark Horse and many others.

Ezequiel Dominguez

He is the main colorist of Stone Tower Studios, working on comics and also concept art. He has been the main colorist for massive graphic novels such as the upcoming Peter Adkison's World of Chaldea. He has also colored a large number of graphics for Marvel's games, PC and mobile games as well.   

Lucas Urrutia

He is the cofounder of Stone Tower Studios and Production manager. He has been professionally in the industry for more than ten years, managing the artwork for independent and top publishers (Marvel, IDW) including storyboards for commercials, concept art for comics and videogames, graphic novels, webcomics, among others. He has also provided the lettering for ALPHA DOGS.
