This is a campaign for another batch of SUMPODs.
SUMPOD ALUMINIUM (mid September)
In the last couple of months we have secured reliable suppliers to produce the next generation of Desktop 3D Printer and CNC Router.
The difference with the ALUMINIUM SUMPOD is it has been fully designed to be a quality machine at a reasonable price.
The basic machine comes with everything needed to start 3D Printing and routing.
Some of the features are:
1. An Aluminium profile frame construction which makes it extremely solid. This is important for accuracy.
2. Moving parts that have been milled from billets of Aluminium. Most machines at this price point use wood or plastic.
3. 10mm Linear bearings and Rods.
4. High Quality Stepper Motors on all axis.
5. Fully built and soldered electronics.
6. A 240x240x150 build area.
The machines also come with an additional heated bed and high amp power supply.
SUMPOD BASIC KIT MDF (mid September)
This is the entry level SUMPOD machine made of MDF. It is a simpler version of the original SUMPOD with and upgraded Hotend.
It has been designed to be even easier to build and comes with soldered electronics.
The SUMPOD Basic has a build area of 140x140x100 and comes with everything in the kit to make a working 3D Printer.
This is the culmination of many months work to try and produce an affordable 3D Printer Kit.
This kit can not only be looked at as a way of getting an inexpensive 3D printer but also as a great electronics learning tool. This is due to the inclusion of the Arduino Mega development board.
This is a PLA only machine (although a heated bed may be offered later).

This campaign is to hopefully get more SUMPODs out there to expand the community and also to make 3D Printing cheaper.
