I need your help to rebuild the many broken lives caused by Hurricane Odile.

Hurricane Odile hit Cabo San Lucas and the East Cape September 14th as a powerful category 3 storm, making it the strongest  in history to hit Baja. This storm has left a devastating aftermath of destruction. Homes have collapsed, neighborhoods have ceased to exist and thousands are displaced.

The Rotary Club of Los Barriles Cabo Este is undertaking a program of assistance. Our club located just north of Cabo San Lucas is raising money to assist locals in need. Your donation will go directly to supply materials necessary to rebuild homes and bring life back closer to normal.

All of your donations will be managed by local Rotarians with 100% of the money raised used in disaster relief. Our needs are great; for every $500 donated a family can start to rebuild.

The Rotary club Los Barriles Cabo Este was organized eight years ago by local business people and retired US executives.. Our expertise in managing large projects is proven, starting with the last hurricane John in 2006, and continuing to build a computer technology center in Los Barriles, rebuilding the local Albergues, developing a Diabetes prevention and treatment program and managing Lord of the Wind.

Rotary is a worldwide organization dedicated to their communities. Rotary has over 2 million members worldwide and is a respected 100 year old organization. All of the local Rotarians are volunteers so every dollar raised goes to help.

             

                     

                                        

Risks & Challenges

 Our program, while daunting, will give needed assistance and hope for the future to our neighbors.We will establish a program as done in the past: Locals will first apply for assistance and be certified by local officials then we will supply materials for the homeowner to rebuild. Maximum per homeowner is $1,000 to be used for reconstruction.
