Cloud Farms was created around the idea that everyone should have access to clean,
fresh, healthy food, and that we should all have the ability to grow
some of our own. Cloud Farms is more than just this product; we hope to build a company that continues to develop tools for growing that are simple, beautiful,
and enjoyable. Tools that enable even those without time, growing
experience or access to outdoor space.
AMPHORA
A soilless, never-water planter for herbs.
![]()
The
Cloud Farms AMPHORA uses hydroponics to grow fresh herbs, flowers, and
small greens without any of the hassle of trying to grow with soil
indoors. With a 1.5L water capacity, AMPHORA holds enough water for the
lifetime of your plant, meaning there is no watering. Plus our seed kits
come with everything you need to get growing. Fill it with water, add a
shot of nutrient, plant your seeds, and come back in 5-6 weeks to harvest your fresh
herbs. All you need is a sunny windowsill.

Goodbye Dirt. Goodbye watering.

AMPHORA
holds enough water for the lifetime of an herb plant. Roots grow
directly into the water and continue to descend as the water level
drops. By the time the water has almost run out, you have a full grown
plant.

Parsley
If you claim an AMPHORA perk, we will reach out to you after the campaign to see exactly what kind of seeds you would like.
AMPHORA won't ship until March...
...but if you contribute for an AMPHORA perk we will send you a postcard right away that you can gift for the holidays.
Here is what it will look like:

Our Process
In order to get to where we are today, we hacked, tested, designed, prototyped, engineered, sampled, sourced production, found suppliers, and grew a whole lot of plants.
What We Need & What You Get
We are going to do a first production run of at least 100 units. In order to do that, we would like to have pre-orders for at least half of that number, around 50 units, so that we can cover some of those production costs. Even if we don't hit our goal, we still plan to produce 100 units.
What we need to pay for upfront:
- Molds for slip casting ceramic.
- Brass stamp for the base of the pitcher.
- Amphora inventory costs including production, shipping, logo graphics, net cups, and packaging.
- Small item inventory for seed kits, including boxes, bags, growing medium, nutrients, printing, and seeds.
What you guys are going to get by supporting us now:
- Some early discounts on the first units.
- A postcard just in time for Christmas.
- Products from our first production run.
- The satisfaction of knowing that you helped to drive forward our future of personal farm systems!

Risks & Challenges
Some of the challenges we face and how we will overcome:
- We need to get through the first production run with our supplier. We will be be working closely with them to make sure that everything comes out exactly as it should. If there is any delay in our production process, we will let everyone know immediately of what is going on and when you can expect to recieve your perk.
- We are going to be shipping products for the first time! It is incredibly exciting for us, and we want to make sure that you are satisfied with what you get! If something is not right with your product, let us know and we will work fast to fix it.
Other Ways You Can Help
Even if you can't contribute, here are some things you can do to help.
- Tell your friends about our campaign. Tell anyone who you know who likes fresh food, who shops organic, who already grows or has had difficulty growing.
- Share the Indiegogo campaign with social media!
