Our small world is about to increase by 2 feet!

I would like to introduce you to our small but happy family:

We are John, Gail and McKenna, but will be soon adding "and Isabella" to the bottom of our Christmas cards and letters!

We live in rural Minnesota on a gorgeous lake in a wonderful small town.  John installs and maintains wind turbines, and I am a stay-at-home Mom who homeschools our 12 year-old daughter, McKenna. We have a wonderful support system of family, friends and home school group and hope to now include the Indiegogo Community amoung our many blessings.

After 6 years of trying to have a baby, we were blessed to have McKenna- the most loved girl on the planet.  :)

Now it's 12 years later and after attempting, praying and waiting, we had resolved and accepted the fact that we would be a "one child family".

But as they say, God works in mysterious ways... His answer to our prayers was not the "No" we thought it was but "Wait to see how I will answer when you least expect it; You're not going to believe this one...!"

We have been given the incredible blessing of being asked by birth parents to adopt their very-soon-to-be-born baby girl.  We are at times speechless and honored, scared and excited all at the same time.....we pinch ourselves to see if it's real....

Our plans are to have an open adoption with the birth family to allow everyone in her life to know her and love her: birth parents, grandparents, other siblings..... What a blessing she'll be- and YOU will have been a part of it!

With such short notice and only on one income, after a tough 2 years economically, we find ourselves in need of raising funds to pay for lawyer's fees, home studies, background checks and all of the hoops we need to jump through to make it happen... and fast! She will be born around Feb 19!

We are reaching out the the Indiegogo Community, family and friends for your support and help with a few simple promises:

• 1.) That this will be one VERY loved little girl who will know the love and security of a solid Christian family- including one VERY happy, anxiously-awaiting, soon-to-be Big Sister,
• 2.) any left over funds will go to help out someone else who needs it. (We really only want to cover our costs- the rest will be blessings elsewhere needed), and
• 3.) If any unforseen thing takes place where the adoption does not happen, we will be blessing someone else with your kindness to us.

Our costs for the lawyer and fees, we are told, will be anywhere from $6,000- 8,000 and we have other costs toward this adoption that are above that.  All in all, we need to raise about $10,000.  We can't do this without you.... :)

Please know that if this is not something you can give to support, we would just really like your prayers for our family as well:  It's all happening so fast! We want to give her a wonderful life full of love, adventure, security and hope.
