I'm almost there, and you can help!
Hi, I'm Angela Hammontree. Thanks for stopping by! I've been stirring it up in the Seattle area for almost a decade, writing and releasing three EPs, gigging at numerous NW clubs and festivals, and playing local radio and TV.
I recently took a hiatus after the gigging part of my musical endeavors disbanded, and I focused in on more writing. Though I hoped very much to record my furst full-length, alas, I could scarcely come up with the recording dough for a six-song EP. But more important than that is the fact that I truly believe the songs are among my best, and I am really excited to share this music!
Please help me reach my goal so that I can comfortably finish the CD by the original release date of December 21, 2012.
The money I'm attempting to raise represents the costs of some final recording hours, mixing, mastering, CD pressing, and, if the goal would be exceeded, promotion.
In return, I am offering some pretty cool stuff, I think! Of course digital ownloads and CDs. But also artwork, album credits, and a CD release show!
You can visit my Website at www.angelahammontree.com to hear some past recordings. I work very hard at what I do, and as such my recordings have been well-received. I sing about "real life stuff," and I truly feel people need music like that to connect with. With the success of this campaign, I can finish this newest recording in the winter of 2012 as planned, without any delays and without sweating bullets. Exceeding the goal would mean having funds for additional promotion, and that would make a huge difference in getting this music into people's ears.
If you aren't in a position to join in right now, I totally understand and would be just as happy if you share this campaign with as many people as you can. Tell your friends, use social media--help getting the word out is indespensible. There are social media sharing tools here on indiegogo, so there ya go...go!
I humbly thank everyone for their support with this. Please know how important this is to me, and how important your help is in bringing it to life!
Truly,
Angela
