We are raising money to help with the marketing of our soon to released book " Are We A Bus?" The book is in the final stages of production. It will next go to formatting and publishing. We are extremely excited and proud of our work and cannot wait for people to start reading our comedic look at what it takes to tour North America with a rock band!
The money we are raising will be used to offset the costs that are out of pocket marketing expenses to increase our reach. Our out of pocket expenses to this point have been: book editing, formatting, book cover design, copyright expenses, and the actual cost of publishing to different platforms and the printing of promo books.
We have an extensive marketing campaign planned that will extend into our knowledge of the music touring industry along with multiple online social media campaigns and various music platforms.
Our book will appeal to music fans and mystery readers and fans of authors such as Tim Dorsey, Carl Hiaasen, Randy Wayne White, Christopher Moore and many others.
We tried to keep the perks fun and with the theme of the book. Hope you like it, we had fun writing and coming up with the concept.
World’s greatest guitarist The Doctor, Jurgen Weislangwolf's latest tour was locked down and ready to kick off like any other tour. But an ex-stage manager had other plans, waiting for his chance to get back out on the road. Without any fanfare, the tour started with an unnoticed set of eyes watching every detail.
Hardened tour professionals Jeb and Neusy can easily navigate any tour loaded with con men and rip off artists in their path. When murder and mayhem started to become an obstacle, the success of the tour became dependent on them keeping the band safe.
Content and enjoying his new life on the road, the ex-stage manager was always watching and waiting for his opportunity to create chaos, which increased once he realized the incompetence of the two FBI agents that were assigned to the tour.
Comedy and satire on an already humorous industry where vile and disreputable people have been known to ruin many careers.
Kent Niepert - “ I have always been involved music from a young age, starting my first hard rocking band at 16 and always dreamed of being a famous guitarist. Never reaching that ultimate goal I supported my two musician sons to be the best that they could be musically. I had managed my son’s bands, War/n/t and CUJO in China. I have also played lead guitar with them on stage in large festivals.”
“My dreams took on a different direction when Jeff invited me on a tour featuring famous musicians, several of whom were idols of my youth. Touring was hard work and not always “shits and giggles”, but I learned what it took to set up a stage for many players as well as getting them to their hotel rooms at night for a well-deserved rest between travels.”
“After years of touring and sharing stories on life on the road, Jeff and I were inspired to write our own stories featuring fictional rock stars, fans, booking agents, and crew. This process took many years writing, emailing, and editing our works between two continents. The summer of 2020, we completed our first novel and soon after had a second novel completed. Every time I read through our books, I crack a smile or LMAO at some of the absurd, nonsensical, tales that came out of our heads. I’m sure anyone that reads this will enjoy learning about what touring is all about with a lot of zany instances that take place during the story.”
Jeff Agins: "When I was given the opportunity to work with a national rock tour in the nineties it certainly was a learning experience which I was able to apply a lot of what I learned into my everyday life and the business I had at the time. "
"A highlight of my career was producing a five day guitar seminar on the campus of UCLA. The seminar featured three concerts with guest musicians I grew up listening to."
"After many tours and real life experiences It was extremely satisfying and entertaining to be able to take my knowledge of the music industry and create a fictional world. Working with Kent created such fun times of writing, waiting for his reaction and reading what he would write back. I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it."
