Are You Dead Yet? is the story of a group of friends who venture together into Hell's Forest-- a nearby woods thought to be cursed. It's been two months since anyone has seen Lola, and with no local law enforcement to help, Blair, David, Maya, and Skye have decided to take things into their own hands. They go in fearing the Legend of Hell's Forest...but what awaits them is a nightmare far worse than they could have imagined.

Just a man and his mallet. Played by director Jayme Schmitt, our paper mache-masked villain-- very appropriately named Mache, is the real reason for all of the disappearances in Hell's Forest. Disfigured and left to survive in the woods on his own many years ago, Hell's Forest became his home, and anyone who enters it...his prey.
Mache is a new and original character, loosely inspired by the likes of classic slashers. Brandishing a supervillain-esque mallet, his namesake mask, and an unending cannibalistic thirst for blood, Mache reanimates the essence of the 80's slasher film for horror fans.
And in the true style of the era, there will be

The Are You Dead Yet? movie cast and crew is a collection of horror enthusiasts with production experience from Iowa, Illinois, Wisconsin, and Minnesota who share not only a love of watching horror films, but a passion for sharing in the creation of them too. We are all excited to bring together our individual skills to create this movie and realize our shared goal of contributing to indie horror film history. The movie is currently in the early production stage, and everyone is already having fun while working hard.
