Dear Friends,
It's really tough to make an exceptional piece of cinematic art, especially if you're a student. However, there are still many people that are willing to risk, because they are drawn by the story told in a given film, and the story behind its creation.
Allow me to use this space, to extend an invitation to YOU! An invitation for a journey, which will take you to a small (well, maybe not that small), european country called Poland. There, a story takes place, a story that is very much American at its core.
The story of a brother and a sister, who were raised by a father, who was a true cowboy, or at least he thought he was. Several years have passed since the father disappeared. There was nothing special, or mysterious about it, he just got up and left, like a drifting cloud, like a cowboy. The sister, Anita, comes to visit her brother, but she has some hidden motifs. And the brother, Mark, has some issues of his own.
By means of the moving image, we want to tell a beautiful, and touching story, about a brother and a sister coming together, despite their differences, to say the final farewell to their cowboy father.
That's the metaphysical beauty of the story. The sad reality is that we need YOUR help to make the film jump from the white pages of the script to your screen... It's a long journey, but maybe we can travel it together... What do you say, Partner?

The shooting of the film is planned on the following days: August 1st, August 5th and 6th, and August 19th to 21st. We have gathered the funding for the first three days: on the 1st we shoot a classic american used car dealership commercial (which will be displayed on a TV screen in some of the scenes - and when it's done we will publish it on Indiegogo project page), then on the 5th and 6th we plan to shoot scenes in the scrap yard (which used to be the Fathers used american car lot - hence the commercial), and then from 19th till the 21st the father's house. The more money we can raise, the better the film will look. We will have more resources to build better art design, and hire extra film equipment (like a dolly and extra lighting). Not to mention the costs of postproduction (sound postproduction, colour correction and online editing). More money will allow us to make the film better. Apart from Indiegogo, we are trying to raise money through individuals and companies in Poland, as well as abroad.
UPDATE 8/8/2014
Currently we are after three days of shooting. Thus a video has appeared on Indiegogo and a gallery of "on set" photos on our website. Stay tuned for more updates...
The video featured on this site was shot with SONY U-Matic system from the mid-1970's to get that special vintage look. The used car commercial, featuring the fantastic Marek Siudym will become an essential part of the finished film, however it won't be shown in it's entirety, as it is shown here.
