Prologue
Hello, my name is Stephen Hart and I am the creator and illustrator of Asami – Children of Rusu. I am determined to create an entertaining story that targets people who love good story and Japanese culture. I believe people who grew up watching Anime and have an affinity for Japanese culture will appreciate the story I am trying to tell. People who like Ninja Scroll but would like to see a scale of Gurran Lagann. Your contributions will directly fund the illustration, color and print of this comic as well as set the foundation of the story to be expanded in upcoming issues. This is immensely important to me, being able to create a story and share the story illustrated in full color would be wildly fulfilling.
Short Summary
Japan, late Edo period. A young samurai named Asami Nishimura is on a journey to save Japan from her former Clan and Daimyo. She is daughter of Kenichi Nishimura, a most trusted bodyguard to the current Daimyo of the Rusu clan. After troubles beseech their land at the hands of a Daimyo who has been chosen by the gods, Kenichi rebels against his lord and sends Asami away. Armed with a mysterious holy weapon Asami searches for a man named John Moses. By banding together, they set out to unite the Daimyo of the other provinces to wage war and Defy the Gods of Rusu.
What I Need & What You Get
My goal is $5,000 Fixed Goal This would fund my time, the colorist, printing and preparing for shipping. As well as lay the foundation for the future issues. There are a few Perks available like signed 11x17 line art print on Bristol board. I’m open to more suggestions!

Risks & Challenges
Understand there is a risk on the ground level. There are possibilities of inevitable outcomes that are not foreseen. I can tell you i am dedicated to creating this. My original plan was to create this for myself by myself. Why not let some like minded individuals share the journey? The biggest risk i can see would be delays. I work full time and this comic would be done in my spare time. I will do my best to meet the deadline given or beat the deadline given. I have all the equipment to help me accomplish the goal. only thing we have against us is time. I will keep you updated throughout the process.
