Support Us in Transforming Preventive Care For Children Through Personalized Nutrition Advice.
Would you do anything in your power to reduce children's risk of developing chronic diseases and obesity in the future? As parents we think we definitely would specially if it can be done through a personalized balanced diet. That's why we started BabyNome. With the help of cutting edge science, we can now find out how each child processes different nutrients based on his or her genes and tailor a diet that meets their specific needs. This personalized diet will help parents and caregivers to lower their child's risk of developing chronic diseases such as diabetes, anemia, cardiovascular diseases, or hypertension that are associated with vitamin, mineral or metabolic deficiencies.

is a nutrigenomics (nutrition meets genomics) technology that uses the DNA data found in a child's saliva to analyze more than 40 nutrition and metabolism traits and generates personalized nutrition recommendations. These recommendations are presented in a nutrition report that parents and caregivers can use to address their child's specific nutritional needs and help them lower their risk of developing different chronic diseases by providing adequate amounts of vitamins and minerals.

The nutrition report has been designed by our nutrition expert specifically for children based on their predisposition level for various nutrition and metabolism traits. The report can be used to guide your child's diet and nutrition throughout her or his most developmentally-crucial childhood years.

BabyNome uses Ancestry.com for genetic testing. All the test needs is a sample of your child's saliva and the process is completely pain and hassle free. BabyNome packages are offered either with or without genetic testing, depending on whether you have already done a test for your child or not.
If you do not have a genetic report for your child, we can order one for you for an additional $99. You will then receive a testing kit with instructions which simply asks for your child's saliva sample. Once your DNA sample has been processed (6-8 weeks), BabyNome will use the resulting genome data to provide you with your selected report package.

There are three easy steps:
- Order your package and Register with BabyNome
- Receive a DNA testing kit and return saliva sample to them.
- Once DNA testing results are ready, view your BabyNome Total Nutrition Report on our platform within 24 hours.
You will receive more detailed instructions for every step of the process.
If you have already done a genetic test for your child through 23andMe or Ancestry.com, you can register your account with us and authorize our use of your child's genetic data, and pay for the reports only. We will then provide you with your selected report within 24 hours.

We are raising $25,000 to (1) optimize BabyNome's report design so that it allows parents to use the information in the most effective way; and (2) deliver the message to at-risk communities. Our campaign's fundraising goal is set based on what we would need to tackle both of these fronts simultaneously. However regardless of the amount raised, we will be able to deliver the promised perks of our campaign.

Our goal is to make high-quality genomics analysis accessible to as many parents as possible. Our approach to pricing and delivery of reports marks a sharp departure from the current convention. Offering more than 40 nutritional and metabolism traits for under $100 (plus the cost of genetic test which cost $99) makes BabyNome an affordable investment in their child's health and well-being for a significant proportion of households with children.
We believe this level of personalization will revolutionize the way we look at nutrition and well-being advice and allow parents to customize their approach to their children's diet and eating habits. As new scientific research becomes available, we will continue to integrate and enrich our knowledge base to update the reports and provide more predisposition analysis for well-being traits.

BabyNome relies on Ancestry.com and 23andMe (both companies backed by hundreds of millions of dollars of venture capital) for genetic testing data. There are always some potential supply chain and handover risks when an external service provider is used. Potential risks include change of company policy or price, a change or reinterpretation of Federal legislation limiting genomics data information provision, temporary glitches in the data transfer between these companies and BabyNome, and ensuring legal authority of parents to allow use of their child's data.
However we also have identified other service providers who offer similar services that allow us to provide the same report for your child and can switch if the need arises.
