At Planet Essentials, we make innovative, eco-friendly products that benefit not only the consumer, but also the planet.

We were brainstorming ideas for a product, and came across an article from about.com stating that 50,000,000 pounds of toothbrushes go to U.S. landfills annually. It was safe for us to assume the massive majority of these were harmful plastics. Plastic doesn't break down for hundreds of years, and our landfills are growing full of it at alarming rates.

Solving a 50,000,000 Pound Problem

This statistic stood out to us, 50,000,000 pounds is truly a mind boggling number. We began looking for a solution to this problem. 

Our solution is Bam•Brush. With Bam•Brush, eco-friendly meets practicality and affordability. Some eco-friendly products push the limits of being green so far, they become impractical. We made it our mission to not cut corners on making the brush eco-friendly, while also prioritizing the effectiveness of the brush, the brush's durability, and keeping the costs to a minimum.

Bam•Brush is made from freshly harvested bamboo, while the bristles are made of an innovative quickly biodegrading compound of nylon called nylon 4.  We've been using the brushes for months and we're pleased to announce the durability of the brush is top notch. The American Dental Association recommends replacing your toothbrush every 3 months. This is what we recommend as well, although if you do choose to use a single Bam•Brush longer then 3 months, we're confident it will go the distance.
