Help Women Artists get to the 39th Annual National Women's Music Festival.
The 39th annual National Women's Music Festival will held at the Madison Marriott West Conference Center in Middleton WI June 26-29, 2014. All of the performers, workshop presenters and festival staff are women. And, unlike other Women's Festival that are held in the great outdoors, the National Festival inherently costs more because all of the stages, workshops and other events are in a climate-controlled conference center.Women In the Arts is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization whose purpose is to produce and sponsor programs that promote and affirm the creative talents and technical skills of women in the visual, performing, and fine arts. The primary vehicle to meet this purpose is the production of the National Women’s Music Festival. In producing this and other arts programs, WIA strives to facilitate the growth, knowledge, and empowerment of women in the other varied aspects of their lives.
What We Need From You
We work very hard to keep our expenses to a minimum, but like everything else the costs of travel and accommodations increase every year. This year, the cost of travel and hotel accommodations for performers, presenters, and staff will be close to $20,000.00.
Donor contributions will pay for transportation, housing and food for over 35 women performers at the festival. Your donation also means that we don't have to include the cost of travel and hotel in our determination of the price of a 4-day festival pass. It helps us keep the cost a 4-day festival pass within the range that a majority of women can afford to pay.
How We will Thank You
Please review the list of perks that you will receive for your donation. We will list your name in the program booklet with your perk. For example: if you donated $75 for Luggage fees; we will state that you paid for the transportation of Linda Tillery's drums to the Festival. Or, if you donated $200 we will state that you paid for Lucie Blue's transportation to the festival. We will have a list available of the artists and what it costs for their travel and lodging. You can choose whose transportation or lodging costs you would like to say that you sponsored. So, the earlier that you donate the more likely you will be able to sponsor the artist of your choice.
