About Before A Fall
My name is Lee Daly and I'm a writer from Dublin, Ireland. I've been a huge PRIDE fan since I got the 2000 Grand Prix on a VHS tape nearly two decades ago and was always captivated by the glamour, grit and grievances that made the promotion so compelling. For years I wondered why there was no book on the history of PRIDE, before deciding to take the plunge and tackle it as a project.
I've been researching and writing for two years and have been very fortunate to have had help from fighters, commentators and journalists, all who have shared unique insights into what made PRIDE so special. Here's just some of the names featured:

Illustrator John Sheehan and I have been working hard to make the book a reality and we now want to share the results of our work with as many of our fellow fans as we can. That's where you come in.
Why Crowdfund?
With Before A Fall, we wanted to keep the fan ethos of the book intact, whilst also delivering as high a quality of a book as we can.
That means a fully self-published project and that requires money, so here's a breakdown of what we're fundraising for.
- €500 will go toward Indiegogo and processing fees.
- €2000 will pay for the art work.
- €2500 will go toward compiling and printing an initial run of 150 books.
The book will go on general release before the end of September on Amazon, Kindle Store and will be available to order in select book stores. However the campaign gives a great opportunity for us to share the book directly with you, and on top of the great rewards, you'll be helping us out as well.
The Perks
Of course, we're not expecting discerning MMA fans to hand over their money for nothing in return, and there are some awesome perks you'll get in return for your support. You can check them out on the right hand side of the page but the key thing to remember is the version you will get of the book will be unique to supporters of the Indiegogo campaign, with a cover not available on general release.
