The history:

Bellytrance is an electronica-bellydance fusion track written by Blue Electric Angel (Casee Wilson)  and first played publically at the 30th birthday party of Vicky Deighton in August 2009. Shortly afterwards Elaine Batchelor choreographed a bellydance to Bellytrance - a dance which will form the basis of the Blue Electric Angel music video. Filmmaker Emma Crossland has kindly come on board and agreed to film and produce the video. The video will be set and filmed in York and will star Casee Wilson, Danella Carter, Elaine Batchelor and Vicky Deighton performing the dance in various locations around the city.

Get involved:

So here's where you can help and get involved. We need friends and fans willing to spare a little time and/or a little cash to help make this project awesome. Spread the word, join the facebook group (Blue Electric Angel - Bellytrance Video), come down to the filming on the 4th June and give us a hand... any support or help you can give is welcome. If you help us in any way you will be invited to the screening party and receive a copy of the finished video on dvd.

Donate some money:

Here's where we're at. Ignore the total raised so far in the top right corner, we've actually made roughly $750 through private contributions AND the Indiegogo donations! (it's an approximate amount since we're working in pounds sterling at this end.) That means that so far, you lovely people have covered:

* Our costumes (coin belts, veils, skirts, tops and earrings)

* Our room hire for rehearsal

* Petrol money to get us round York on shoot day and to get our film maker here

*  Miscellaneous shoot items (spare batteries, etc!)

* Most of the cost of DVD duplication and packaging ($125 out of $200!)

THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH!

What the remaining money is needed for:

* the rest of the DVD duplication and packaging for 100 DVDs ($75)

* Room hire for screening (£100/about $165)

What's in it for you?

No matter how big or small, your contribution gets you a copy of the DVD, signed, your name credited on the video, and an invitation to the wrap party, which will be held in York, UK. If you are a contributor from overseas and can't get to the UK, you'll get a mention at the end of the video when it is broadcast on youtube, where we will thank you personally. And, most priceless of all, our eternal gratitude, and the knowledge that you helped our first ever music video happen. :) See perks to the right for all the info!

Many thanks!
