This 7 minute short-movie will be filmed in the Massachusetts area in early October 2019.

"Birds of Paradise" tells the very singular story of Willow, a young woman selling flowers in what was formerly an abandoned barn. An unexpected visit from another world brings her to conflict with her memories of the past and what is now to come. She will try to figure out the purpose of these strange events and hopefully find out what happened to an old friend who mysteriously disapeared...

I am cultivating my carrier as a French, independent, female filmmaker. I am highly passionate about my films and do my very best to bring a level of importance to every aspect, from story, to sound & visual. 

I would love to direct "Birds of Paradise" because I feel compelled by the fictional character the film is based around and I sincerely think it can be an inspiring story for all audiences. I hope for this project to shed light on what kind of movies I wish to create.

The quite dark story tone will be balanced by its visual/sonore style, giving the film a surreal look and feel.

The production design will help to shape the visual aspect:

The camera will move smoothly and slowly. Which will allow the spectator to get closer to the main character and her story. The film will be lighted in a non-realistic way, at some points, in order to enhance Willow’s feelings and the surreal ambiance. The coloring of the movie will follow a similar intention, tending to pink/purple colors.

The sound design & score will create an original environment, playing with elements and feelings related to the story.

Making a movie is a collaborative process. I will receive the help of very talented actors and filmmakers in order to give life to our film.

To create "Birds of Paradise", we are looking for $1,000 (we are also raising a funding campaign in France). This money will go towards:
