An automatic Swiss made watch inspired by Apollo 11

As children, we always dreamed about space. Our eyes would see something down heart on Planet Earth but inevitably return to the stars, looking up and wondering if we would ever get there ourselves. Then, in July 1969, we did: the astronauts of Apollo 11 led us to the moon. Although the footsteps were few, we took them together. That was all of us, up there, exploring that big black wonder from our dreams. That was all of us, escaping the confines of gravity.

 Now, the Moon 1969 watch, a Bovarro Swiss-made automatic timepiece, is here to celebrate that achievement. Designed to resemble the hatch on the Apollo 11 spacecraft, bezels and all, this is a watch that is both unique and functional.

 Initially we created the bezel to look exactly like the hatch with the 42 screws, but the look on the watch did not quite come out as nice, so we decided to reduce the screws around the bezel down to 8 , and shape the crown like the knob on the right side of the hatch, and the look of the watch came out exactly the way we planned.

The Limited Edition Gold Series Watches will come with Solid 18 K Gold  Case (42 or 44 mm), Gold Back Case, Gold Crown and Gold Strap Buckle.  

You can chose any of the above series in Solid 18 K Gold Case.

Limited Edition Models (#0,00,1-500) will be available combined in all the models. You will choose your watch after the campaign and we will engrave the number on the case. None Limited Edition Watches will come with hard back case with the Moon Engravings. 

 The easy to read black dial of the Lunar Series boasts luminescent hours dots at 12, 3, 6 and 9 o'clock positions and, luminescent moon at 6 o'clock and date window at 3 o'clock.

Orbit models come with a more minimalist index free dial. The Orbit model has larger luminescent hour dots at 12, 3, 6 and 9 o'clock positions.

Celestial model dials hour marks have been omitted to make it look more minimal. 

All 3 models come in both 42 and 46 mm cases.

Precisely made, each of Bovarro's components are crafted out of the highest-grade parts and materials available; the Bovarro Moon 1969 watches come in  46mm and 42 mm  diameter with 24mm  and 22 mm lugs. The double-domed sapphire crystal is durable and scratch-proof. Water-resistant up to 100 meters; the screw down crown is engraved with Bovarro's double "RR" logo.

Why ETA 2824-2?

Reading time with Bovarro Moon 1969 is easy due to its minimal design.The moon and round indexes on the dial are topped with strong luminescent coating so you can easily read the time in the dark.
