We believe in our product, but sometimes the unexpected happens and we want to make sure you feel secure with a purchase. We are offering all of our backers a one year warranty for their BrightChargers in case something happens to the device and it breaks.

BrightCharger is now in the prototype stage and the final product will be ready in August 2017. We already have a delivery system in place and as soon as the campaign is fully funded and completed we will start the final stage of the production. We are currently in the process of getting the product certification and have about 300 working units ready that we are conducting tests on and so far the results have been excellent. Even though we have a precise and well thought out plan in place, there is always a risk of something unexpected happening in the final production process. If any delays were to occur we will contact Backers immediately.

Why should I buy BrightCharger over any other charger?
Regular chargers consume unnecessary energy by forcing idle power to a connected battery even after the battery is already full. BrightCharger uses only a part of the energy, therefore protecting your battery life, devices, and the environment. BrightCharger also functions as a low energy consumption nightlight which adds, even more, value to the product.
Doesn't a charger like this already exist?
No, it does not. The idea behind BrightCharger is to avoid unnecessary electricity consumption. The charger switches itself off as soon as the battery is fully charged. Only the very low consumption LED signal light (nightlight) will indicate to users when the device is fully charged. The users can choose whether they want to enable and disable the signal light feature.
My battery was not fully charged (100%) when the BrightCharger stopped charging it. What happened?
Our goal is to ensure a charge level above 90% for all USB-chargeable devices at the end of the charging process. Based on the latest studies, this particular charge level is the most beneficial to all USB-chargeable batteries and prolongs their lifespan.
When I plug my phone in before going to bed in the evening, the battery is not fully charged in the morning as the BrightCharger does not allow the charger to maintain the charge level. Why does it do that?
This is true when using the BrightCharger. However, as smartphone users may have noticed (and can easily test), charge levels may decrease by up to 5% within minutes of unplugging a when unplugging a fully-charged phone from a charger. In reality, the ideal charge level range for the Lithium-ion batteries of smartphones lies between 10% and 90%. The charge level decreases more rapidly when higher than 90% or lower than 10%. The battery producers provide estimations of how long the battery can be charged. Why worry about such time limits or harm the battery by overcharging it? Thanks to the BrightCharger feature, the lifespan of all batteries is longer.
How much energy can be saved using the BrightCharger?
There are only rough estimations of the amount of energy wasted globally in maintaining battery charge levels or by leaving chargers plugged in. We think that saving even a single watt of electricity is good for both the wallet and the environment.
How does BrightCharger differ from other chargers that include automated charging technology? How about smartphones that have inbuilt features that stop charging on their own?
Many mobile devices contain different battery control systems and automated charging technologies. The automated charging technologies of modern smartphones work well. As soon as the battery is fully charged, maintenance charging ends as the charger switches into standby mode and stops charging the device. The charger itself still continues to consume energy. This energy consumption of high-quality chargers is very low, even close to zero. The problem arises when the charge level of the device decreases by even 1%. This activates the charger and begins charging the device. Depending on the condition and age of the battery, this may take for example 15 minutes, after which the charger’s standby mode is reactivated. As a result of this cycle, the device is charged almost continuously. Another group of chargers consumes small amounts of energy (e.g. 1.5 W). After connecting the phone to the charger and achieving a full charge level, this basic consumption increases slightly (e.g. to 1.8 W) to maintain the charge level – essentially charging the phone continuously. The third group of chargers and devices have no automated charging technologies.
I could imagine purchasing a BrightCharger if it did not waste electricity on the LED signal light.
It is true that Brightcharger continues to consume energy because of the signal light (the nightlight mode). These consumption levels, thanks to modern LED-technology, are very close to zero. Additionally, the nightlight mode can be disabled, and the charger switches itself off completely as soon as the battery is fully charged.
