Hello everyone :)

My name is Maya.
I'm an Israeli singer and  actress.

I studied classical singing at the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance, only to realize that my passion lies in Musical Theater.
My dream is to study this field in NYC.
As of today, I am excited to say that I have been accepted to 4\4 of the schools that I applied to in Manhattan.

I come from a country that is only now starting to develop in this field and has no seasoned programs, which is why my hopes are New York bound.

I am thrilled to say that I will be attending AMDA (the American Musical and Dramatic Academy) and have been saving up for this cause on my own for two years but unfortunately it is nowhere near close to allowing me to cover the tuition (approx. $50,000)
AMDA's program is a wonderful one that I know I can gain so much from.
I am hoping that you can assist me in carrying the financial burden to help me fulfill my dream.

I have received scholarships and am intending on taking out loans and doing as best I can as to not rely on the generosity of strangers, but in our financial climate (and taking into consideration the financial gap between the wages and tuition between the countries) I cannot help but ask for support.   

I truly believe that music and art brings the world together and people closer and I hope to be able to gain as many skills as I can in order to portray stories well enough so that they transcend cultural differences and touch people as a whole.
