Hey there! We are the team behind the short film, Brussels Sprouts, a John Paul the Great University Senior Thesis Film. Collectively, our crew is made of 21 JPCU students and alumni who are committed to bringing our school’s mission statement to life; “Impact culture for Christ”. The film does this by delving into the discord of divorce by following its lead character, Janice, whose only option is to turn around her obstinate husband’s beliefs in order to finally begin rebuilding the ties of a broken marriage.
From the seniors on the project, to the freshman involved, this project is an immense opportunity for each of us to develop our voice as filmmakers, giving us the experience needed to be well equipped to tell stories that move people to goodness. We believe the message behind Brussels Sprouts resonates for those coming from both broken and unbroken families alike by showing that forgiveness trumps resentment.
Your contributions will go a tremendous way in supporting us, and we really could not do this without your help. Senior Thesis Films are what JPCU seniors take with them after graduation as they enter the film industry, oftentimes leading to a first job or a foot in the door for many of them. By supporting us through this film, you are supporting our careers both now and down the road for the created opportunities to come. Thank you for your generosity and consideration, and we hope you can team up with us as we come together to make Brussels Sprouts.
