This bumper sticker is poking just a bit of fun at Ken Buck, but it's really in support of Vic Meyers...

...our congressional candidate for the 4th CD here in Colorado. He is a strictly grassroots funded candidate. He is relying on people powered promotion. Check him out on vicmeyersforcongress.com. He's the real deal.

I made the 3" x 5" bumper sticker pink because women in the 4th District are sick and tired of old white men like Ken Buck trying to tell us what to do with our bodies! I envision us progressive gals all over the 4th District proudly displaying these pink emblems of "fierce feminosity"!

A little about myself...

I'm a graphic designer who is also a politically progressive activist here in Boulder County, Colorado. If you're a Democrat and you've received the BCDP Voter Guide — I designed that. I've designed the campaigns for several great democratic candidates. My history is in magazine and book publishing, but in recent years, I've had several opportunities to align my profession with my politics. With all the noise that's out there, especially in politics, message is king. The question is, what's the message?

Heavily financed media machines don't necessarily know what people care about.
If you volunteer to get out the vote, if you care about supporting honest and real grassroots candidates, you can be frustrated with what tools are available to ordinary people to get that message out there. That's why I'm here at indiegogo. I've financed projects of my own before, but this time, I've tested the idea with a few folks and it's getting good response, so I need your help with production.

I need funds to cover my design costs, printing and postage
— for those of you who contribute (and provide your address), I'll send you a bumper sticker!

(The smallest amount you can have an indiegogo campaign for is $500, but the first 100 bumper stickers will cost me far less than that. If I get good response, I'll just keep printing stickers with what funds this campaign generates.)

THANK YOU

...for reading about my campaign, for your interest, and for your support. If you decide not to contribute, please pass on this campaign to others you think might be interested. ~Marisa
