Making Pool Practice Fun
Hi, I'm Jeremiah Gage, founder of Bullseye Billiards, and I've been teaching pool and billiards for over 10 years. Many students struggle with staying motivated and practicing effectively, so my goal is to make practice both engaging and fun.
This campaign is for making Card Games using the original Bullseye Billiards practice content for learning cue ball positioning, where each card is its own shot with a digram and instruction. Card Games helps players learn skills while providing new, competitive ways to practice. I believe that the Card Games format will be much more fun than the original book and will have vastly improved game play.
The Card Games
I'm a solo entrepreneur, so this will be the initial funding for the card games product. The hope is to sell 100 sets, and then that will allow me to re-invest the profits to continue selling Card Games and also make more pool and billiard training products.
Card Games includes:
- 200 cards, one for each of the 200 Bullseye cue ball positioning shots in the different categories:
- Fundamentals
- Follow
- Stun
- Draw
- Sidespin
- Hangers
- Rails
- Scratches
- Advanced
- 8 different game play formats, single player and multiplayer:
- Workout
- Red Zone
- Blackout
- Shot Count
- S.H.A.R.K.
- 5-Card Runout
- Difficulty Drive
- Race to 3
- How to set the aim, speed, and tip for each shot
- Coaching guidance for each shot
- A booklet with additional instruction on fundamentals and billiard physics
Cue Sports are the Best Sport
But cue sports are hard! My pool and billiards training products strive to lower the barrier to get more people shooting pool and improve quickly so they can appreciate the sport for what it is. Cue sports have been incredible for many people's lives, as it teaches skills in a number of important areas:
-
Physical - cue sports demand incredible precision for pocketing and cue ball positioning—far better than just sitting on the couch.
-
Mental - the popular games like 8-ball and 9-ball are like playing chess, you have to think ahead and make good decisions.
-
Social - we humans are still tribal by nature, so let's fight on the pool table, making friends (and some enemies) along the way.
