6 Features of 'Bunshi Mask'

Mask performance is required to be higher than ever, which is why ‘Bunshi Mask’ is equipped with the latest nanofiber filters developed in Tokyo.
 

The nanofiber filter invented by Prof Tanioka (emeritus professor) in Tokyo Institute of Technology, catches more than 99% of fine particles (of 100 nanometers) according to the quality test conducted by KAKEN TEST CENTER General Incorporated Foundation.

It uses the latest nanofiber filter leveraging “van der Waals’ force” acts. Since Bunshi Mask adopted finer mesh for its filter, “van der Waals’ force” could be stronger and catch fine particles effectively.

The inventor of 'Bunshi Mask' is Emeritus Professor Tanioka of Tokyo Institute of Technology (TIT).
TIT is one of the top Universities in Japan (often referred to as the "MIT of Japan").
Professor Tanioka has made a lot of efforts to research and develop the nanofiber filter for many years and is one of the leading authorites in this field.
He is currently a chairman of the Nanofiber Society (a non-profitable organization) in Japan and internationally recognized.

How to choose your best size

*Reference if you do not have a measuring tape available:
Measure with 2 credit cards (sideways) aligned vertically, approximately 11 cm (4.3 inches). If your measurements are larger than the 2 credit cards (sideways), the best fit will be L, and M if the measurements are about the same.

More about Materials

The main body of Bunshi Mask is 100% organic cotton. Nanofiber filter (inside) is made from PET resin, recycled from plastic bottles and adjusters are made from polycarbonate resin (plastic). Knit fabric is used for the ear bands. There is no space between the ear band and piping line so that you can have an optimal fit and get rid of ear pain.

Bunshi Mask has already been used by many people in Japan.

Bunshi Lab launched the first crowd-funding campaign for Bunshi Mask in Japan last year. The campaign was successfully supported by more than 17,000 people and raised approximately 1.6 million USD (1USD = 110 JPY). Bunshi Mask quickly became “the biggest selling face mask among crowd-funding campaigns in Japan”.

More than 200,000 Bunshi Masks had been sold within just 4 months after the launch in the Japanese open market, with sales records getting a great deal of press.

• The laundry test (100 times) was conducted with water quality and a washing machine in Japan. Please be informed that it may not be as durable as the test result when testing under different conditions.
