The Story

My name is Sky King and I am a current student at Wabash College. An all male school in central Indiana. Yes, single sex colleges still exist and yes its "Awesome". I like every other teen from the United States have been looking forward to my 21st birthday for as long as I can remember. I have seen enough movies to know I wanted it to be awesome! Something huge a true right of passage into another life. I mean I can finally legally drink alcohol. That is life changing… right? 

The Problem

The fact that we give getting drunk that much power is pretty pathetic. And the more I thought about it, the more I realized that I did not want to spend my transition to manhood in that way. 

The Solution 

Ask the world to buy me a drink for my 21st. What does that even mean? Well I want you, yes you, to take the money you would have used to purchase me, your best friend, the random guy at the bar or whatever, a drink for their 21st birthday and donate it to this campaign. The goal of this campaign is to have enough "Drinks" donated to raise 12,000 dollars. 12,000 dollars is approximately how much it costs The Thirst Project to build a freshwater well. My goal is to earn $12,000 in drink donations so that a community of up to 500 people without access to fresh clean drinking water can have a drink for over 60 years! 

If we reach the goal I will celebrate my 21st birthday by refraining from drinking any sort of alcoholic beverage! 

That actually is life changing. For a ton of people. 

I love this project. I love this project because it gives me the opportunity to turn a night I had no shot in hell of remembering into a night that I will truly never forget.

Help me to create a night I will never forget. All it will take is one drink. In the end why not?
