caché district refers to a hidden find. We are on a mission to bring you an exclusive collection of pure, organic, luxurious cotton linens for your home that are attractively priced to fit the needs of today’s family.

Jana Nataraj: Our Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and the creator of our exclusive design collections. Jana is a University of Virginia and Boston University School of Law Alum, loves all things fashion and food, and most of all, spending time with her two little ones.
Deepak Nataraj: Our Chief Operating Officer (COO) and proponent of a clean and healthy lifestyle. Deepak is a Virginia Tech Alum and a Marine Corps veteran. He loves traveling and molding two new Hokie football fans!
Doraiswamy Sundar: Our Chief Information Officer (CIO) and the inspiration behind starting caché district. Sundar is a VCU Alum and enjoys home decor, watching cricket, and most of all, spoiling his grandchildren.
Our Journey
The genesis of caché district can be traced back to a few situations – together, they created the perfect set of circumstances to bring our vision to reality.
Jana & Deepak received high quality cotton sheets made of pure, high quality Indian cotton for their wedding, which appealed to their love of luxurious home furnishings.
Later, having a son that suffered from environmental allergies in addition to Deepak’s respiratory asthma issues from his deployments to Iraq led them to research how organic cotton may be a better choice for cleaner living. However, our search for organic cotton sheets at an affordable price proved fruitless. All we could find was either lower quality sheets, sheets deceptively advertised with high thread counts, or organic cotton sheets that were not only expensive, but only available in very limited designs.
Having identified a gap in the marketplace, Jana and Deepak partnered with their CIO, Sundar, who had experience and contacts in the textile industry of India.
The team of three then found the right fit in a supplier and decided to set up shop online, with a community focus in their hometown of Richmond, VA. A portion of our earnings will be donated to local causes as well as to veterans' causes.
Our Cotton
India is the original source of long-staple cotton, the luxurious fiber used in sheets commonly found labeled “Egyptian cotton.” Organic cotton is grown without the use of pesticides, herbicides or other chemical fertilizers.
Advantages of organic cotton:
Feel - Fabrics made from organic cotton have the feel of linen without the weight. Since organic cotton is not chemically stripped of its natural wax, it maintains its characteristic smoothness.
Moisture Absorbent - Organic cotton is useful in textile production due to its natural absorption properties, absorption of dye color and its ability to stabilize other fibers.
Environmental Foot Print - Organic cotton is grown using methods and materials that have a low impact on the environment. Organic production systems replenish and maintain soil fertility, reduce the use of toxic and persistent pesticides and fertilizers, and build biologically diverse agriculture, making natural cotton an eco-friendly fabric.
Our Designs
To start, we’ve created four modern, timeless collections of bedding.
Our White Collection features pure white organic cotton sheets for those looking for the luxurious feel and benefits of organic cotton without any ornamentation.
Our Classic Collection features our signature paisley motif representing life and eternity onto classic white bedding with a colorful border for a modern aesthetic. This statement piece is available in Classic Bold Orange or Classic Shimmering Gold.
Our Print Collection features our modern twists on two classic patterns, the herringbone and the pinstripe. We’ve emboldened a typical herringbone with a bigger pattern to create a more dramatic effect in a classic mix of black and white. We’ve made our pinstripe pop with our bold signature orange color for a perfect mix of sophistication and fun.
Our Blended Collection features pattern mixing of modern designs for an intricate and unique look. Our polka dot design is a preview of what is to come with our Blended Collection in the future. The polka dot design mixes two modern patterns: a classic polka dot pattern in our vibrant cache orange and our bold black herringbone, resulting in a modern take on ornate bedding that meshes well with our other existing designs.
We have created our collections so the pieces work well together to create either understated and elegant combinations, or bolder and more colorful looks.

Our manufacturing partner has 30 years of experience in both woven and knit textiles. Our partner has been making fine quality and high end fashion garments catering to Europe and US markets.

We have spent the last couple years meticulously working on our business model and ensuring that we keep true to our mission, which is to offer everyone the option to own pure, 100% organic, luxurious cotton linens in modern, desirable designs at accessible prices.
Our research indicated that the high prices of quality cotton linens are due to numerous middlemen who do not add any value. We have put a lot of time into finding the right supplier, using our background and contacts in India to ensure quality. We are now working directly with our manufacturing partner to source pure, organic cotton.
While we are starting with sheets for standard sized beds, we envision turning caché district into a one stop shop for all your home textile furnishings in the near future. Our next steps are to expand to infant’s and children’s bedding and accessories, and sleepwear for the whole family. If there’s anything you want to see, we want to hear from you!
