Plot Summary:
Michelle is just your average teenager, locked away in mental institution for being a murderous vampire. After killing her boyfriend and drinking his blood, she thought she'd never find love again.
That was until she met Isaac, a handsome young cannibal.
Can these crazy kids make love work inside the nuthouse?
About:
"Call Me Crazy" is a unique short film that blends elements of horror with the classic tropes of romantic comedies. Combining a classical 'horror' aesthetic, the film will bring to life a hyperrealistic and skewed dimension to a tried and true genre. This isn't just another horror film gimmick, but a stylized and unique film that's sure to entertain.
We're set to begin production this November with a three day shoot, and we have begun assembling a top-notch crew of award-winning filmmakers and talent from Chicago's famed comedy scene. We just need that little extra that will make this dream a reality.
That's where you come in.
Where Your Money is Going:
As you can see, we've already exceeded our goal of $1,500. But we're not done yet.
Now that we have the funds to make the film, we need to get it to film festivals. And they aren't cheap. Most charge between $40 and $50 just to submit to their festival.
"BOO!", the previous short film created by Beau Batterson and Adam Orton, has been screened in four film festivals in the United States and one internationally, and won the Gold Eddy for a Student Short Form at the 2011 Cedar Rapids Independent Film Festival.
Other Ways You Can Help:
