We're Get Super Rad, a Michigan-based production company headed up by Rob Cousineau and Chris Rosik.
(Rob and Brendan Goofing around at the hospital)
I (Rob Cousineau) have been friends with Brendan, the focus of our film, since middle school. Brendan and I have been through a lot together. I've seen him sick and healthy, but mostly I've seen him handle his illness like a minor inconvenience, no matter how major the effects really were. Whenever I don't feel up to doing something or get to the end of a long-winded complaint, I think about Brendan playing hockey with two club feet, or screaming as the front man of a hardcore band even though his lungs were full of mucus. The effect Brendan has had on my life will resonate long after he is gone, and I want to share that sentiment with as many people as I can while he is still here to appreciate the end product. But enough from me...

Can't See Sh*t (named by the artist himself) tells the story of Brendan Patrick's journey. It gives the viewer a glimpse into the world of a cystic fibrosis survivor who is an artist, a musician and a man living without sight.
Brendan's story is about perseverance and what comes after you lose everything you thought defined you as a person. We're making this film because we know there's someone out there in their darkest place and feeling lost. Someone out there needs to know this story. And you can help us spread the word!
When you choose your perk, you're getting a rad reward and directly helping our documentary. We've already been filming, and we're going to film as much as we can over just about a year's time. Crowd-funding gives us the creative control and time that we need to capture this project how we want to. We can hire more people and pay them for their services, and rent the equipment we need. Most importantly, we can travel and do more with Brendan. The goal we set for this project will pay for production of the documentary, and all of the post-production, including audio mixing and color correction.
Your contributions will improve the end product, and you will get
your perks
regardless of whether or not we make our goal. We excel at creating
content on a budget. We have a film in post-production and have worked
in the commercial world for
years. Your assistance speaks volumes and we appreciate every penny, but
even if we don't reach our goal, we'll keep working. That's who we are.
Risk: Brendan's health
Brendan's health is deteriorating. We are driven by this fact because we want to be sure that Brendan can experience this film's premiere.
Anything you can throw towards us is greatly appreciated. If you can't afford to donate, but still want to help, pay it forward! We've got a Facebook page, a Twitter, and an Instagram running. Follow us! Share the video! Buy us tacos if we're in your town! Get the word out!
