Short Summary

CASSETTE is a romantic fantasy film, about a lonely man who falls in love with a language teacher at the school he cleans at after hours. To impress her he attempts to learn languages on old cassette tapes he listens to. As his infatuation grows, he has romantic fantasies about the teacher and the tapes he listens to. The film aims to be a sincere character portrait and it has the potential to be very poignant and heartfelt.

Your funding will help us make this film a reality, and the more you give, the more we can give back. The budget of the film will determine the production value, art direction, us getting great acting talent, and giving our film a chance to reach a greater audience!

What We Need & What You Get

We have already funded some of the film through bake sales and events, but we need your help with the rest! 

We are looking to raise an additional 850£ through crowdfunding to make sure our ambitious project will reach its full potential. Our core crew is composed of 9 members (and we're all getting graded on this). Additionally we will bring on emerging filmmaking talent from university and beyond. Our film is not only an opportunity to make a film, but to help other emerging talents showcase their skills as part of our team. We will need to take care of travel, food, location, and our acting talent throughout the shoot which funding will greatly help with. 

Your contribution will go towards things such as the art department (props & costume), equipment hire, actors, locations, and eventually festival submission and distribution of the film. All these aspects are very important to creating a great film, and will help it look and feel the way we envision.

As a reward for your contributions we are offering a range perks, including; credits in the film (even your company),  a copy of the film upon release, concept artwork, film poster, prop cassettes, and more! We want you to be part of the process and we will update you as we go along with the film! 

If we don't reach our goal we will still complete the film and make it the best possible film we can. But the more you give, the better the film will be!

The Impact

All of our team are currently working hard to achieve the best film possible, but without your help we won't be able to make the film that we envision.

This is an ambitious project that has great potential to do well in film festivals; it is the lead up to our graduation films and so you're not just investing in a film, but our creative futures as filmmakers! 

Risks & Challenges

We face various challenges with this project, but nothing we can not handle. Locations, Set Decoration and Acting talent is what our film most hinges on. The more help we can get with these, the more achievable and better quality these aspects will be. 

We already have a script and have begun casting and sourcing locations. We work efficiently and transparently so you can safely trust us!
