"Chimeras Ghost" is a psychological horror short film, immersing viewers in the evocative 1980s. The film was created by Jessey Nelson & Kai Watts who won the film heist competition beating out many other teams with this screenplay. The film follows the poignant journey of Tyler Flores, a 12-year-old boy wrestling with the emergence of his queer identity and grappling with mental health challenges, exacerbated by the repressive environment created by his devoutly religious mother.

This film weaves a rich tapestry of themes, including self-discovery, the enduring power of friendship, and the profound essence of acceptance. Why We're Fundraising

'Chimera's Ghost' was one of four lucky films to be selected as winners of the inaugural film heist competition presented by Old bank Studios and Infocus film school. Winners received $5000 towards production, invaluable mentorship from some of the industries leaders and sponsorships.

We are seeking additional funds to help pay our crew, locations, rentals, festival fees and other costs along the way. All funds raised will go entirely to the making of 'Chimera's Ghost'. 

We're so excited to create this film and thrilled to have your support to make that happen! The Plan

We are currently in pre-production and will be going into production on October 20th-22nd.  Post-production will commence and the film will be screened at the innagural gala on January 14th! (more info to come!) After the screening the film will begin to be submissions to the 2024 film festival circuit!
