Continuous Improvement

Here at The Cinema, being an entertainment venue in a vintage building, we are faced with some unique challenges.

On the one hand we have to keep up with the technological requirements.  As you know we are paying off a large loan for our digital projector. But you might not know we also need to replace an expensive 4,000 watt arc lamp once or twice a year which has to be professionally installed and calibrated and the projector requires expensive upgrades periodically.

On the other hand, our century old facility needs special care. For example we are having issues with the old leaking pipes that will need some tricky repairs plus the old air conditioner has needed replacing.

We are also acquiring equipment for new concessions. Look for new items offered at our concession stand. Plus our trusty old popcorn machine needs a little help so we are setting up an additional machine which will allow us to keep both in tip-top condition.

In addition we are looking to create some excitement on the outside by installing nice, bold poster cases fitted with cost efficient LED lighting.

These are the many challenges and innovations that your contribution will help us accomplish. As we go forward we will always be looking to offer more while keeping the old place in good shape.
