When a cartridge is inserted into the top of the Cirkul bottle, water flows from the tilted bottle through the lid, delivering delicious flavor to the user. Simply fill the bottle with water, insert the flavor cartridge into the lid, screw it in, and turn the dial to flavor.

As you drink, water flows from the bottle into the lid where it mixes with flavor from the cartridge. A one-way valve prevents the flavor from entering the bottle keeping it completely clean and allowing the user to change flavor levels at will, from plain to fully flavored water, dialing in their exact flavor from sip to sip!​

Using a patented bottle and flavor cartridge system, you can dial-in your exact taste preferences from one of our refreshing, all-natural flavors. We’ve designed our cartridges specifically so that your flavors won’t leak and the water in your bottle will remain pure, meaning no mess, no residue, and fewer cleanings.

Easily insert the flavor cartridge into the top of the bottle filled with plain water. Then, choose the intensity of your flavor by rotating the head of the cartridge to settings between pure water and full flavor.

Garrett and Andy met on the football team at Dartmouth College and came up with the idea for Cirkul in the winter of 2011. One day, as he was getting ready for practice in the locker room Garrett began mixing some sports drink powder into his water. All of a sudden… splat. He accidentally dumped half the powder onto the ground, making a huge mess. Garrett and Andy looked at each other and had an idea; what if there was a water bottle that could flavor water as you drink it and allow you to adjust the flavor strength to match everyone's personal tastes. No mixing. No stirring. No mess. The idea for Cirkul was born. 

It turns out that coming up with the idea was the easy part... the Cirkul bottle has gone through many iterations over the past 5 years and we hope to continue to improve it based on feedback from you, our supporters!

1. 75% of Americans are dehydrated.
   • Millions of Americans aren’t drinking enough water. Studies have shown dehydartion can cause fatigue, irritability, and decreased cognitive function. We wanted to create a fun, delicious solution that helps people drink more water to keep us all happily hydrated.
2. Save time, save money, save calories.
   • Instead of paying a couple dollars for a bottle of soda or a sports drink every time you get thirsty – why not pay around 75 cents per bottle, have it shipped right to your doorstep, and happily hydrate with none of the calories and your perfect level of flavor!
3. Reduce plastic waste and carbon emissions.
   • Cirkul cartridges revolutionize the way beverages are shipped. One Cirkul flavor cartridge is equivalent to four 20oz bottled beverages - that's a 98.8% reduction in shipment weight and 99.6% reduction in shipment volumes. 
   • To put that in perspective, 4 truckloads of Cirkul cartridges are equivalent to 1,000 truckloads of a standard 20oz bottled beverage!
4. Bottled beverages take up A LOT of space.
   • Lugging soda or sports drink bottles from the grocery store can be annoying, but finding the storage space for them can be even worse. We created something much more efficient, saving space and stress.
5. Flavored powders and liquids aren’t cutting it.
   • Measuring flavored powder or drops into your water is not only unscientific, it’s also messy and tough to do when you’re on-the-go. We wanted to create a clean, seamless way to drink each sip of water just the way you like it.

Risks and Challenges:

We're launching our crowdfunding campaign from a unique position. We've raised $3 million in angel investor capital, tested and finalized our design, and have manufacturing lines ready for production. Cirkul will be coming to market in September 2017, but we want to offer the Indiegogo community the opportunity to be first to get Cirkul with discounted pricing and help us perfect our product before September!

Manufacturing: Our tools are built, injection molds are set, production lines are ready. The only thing we need is you, the Indiegogo community, to let us know how many bottles and cartridges you want.

Product Adjustments:  As we begin manufacturing, there may be small tweaks to the product. These will always be done with you, the consumer in mind, and we will let you know exactly what these changes are and why we have decided to make them.

Fulfillment: Sometimes things go wrong that can’t be planned for: a shipment gets lost, a supplier misses a deadline, or a machine breaks down. Things like this can cause a delay. To minimize the possibility of setbacks we're working with manufacturers who have decades of experience delivering excellent products in tremendous quantities and plan to enter the manufacturing stage with back-up suppliers lined up for each component. If we encounter any setbacks, we will communicate directly with our backers to explain the situation.

Q: How do I use Cirkul?

A: Fill the Cirkul bottle with water, insert your favorite cartridge, dial-in your desired flavor level, and enjoy!

Q: How does Cirkul work?

Q: Does Cirkul also act as a water filter?

A: No, Cirkul only flavors and enhances water. We are currently investigating filtering solutions to purify and enhance your water. Stay tuned!

Q: How do I know what flavor setting I'm on?

A: The dial on the cartridge has a 0-10 indicator that let's you easily adjust and remember your perfect setting.

Q: How long does a Cirkul Sip (flavor cartridge) last?

A: On our medium setting (dial #5), one Sip will last around 80oz (four bottle fill ups.)

Q: How long is a Cirkul Sip good for after it has been opened?

A: We expect Sips to be good for 1-2 years; however, we recommend consuming a Sip within one week of opening. 

Q: Do Cirkul Sips need to be refrigerated?

A: No. Cirkul Sips can be stored at room temperature.

Q: Can I freeze Cirkul Sips?

A: Cirkul Sips should not be kept in the freezer.

Q: Are Cirkul Sips refillable?

A: No; however once a cartridge is empty it can be recycled.

Q: Are Cirkul Sips recyclable?

A: Yes.

Q: How do I know when a Cirkul Sip is empty?

A: You will notice a significant drop off in flavor immediately. 

Q: Cirkul Sips seem expensive. Why do they cost so much?

A: One Cirkul Sip cartridge can flavor around 80oz of water, so you can fill up your Cirkul bottle four times before you need to change Sips! That comes out to about 75 cents per 20oz bottle. Additionally, Cirkul Sips are made with high quality ingredients, natural flavors, and a unique delivery system to provide you a healthy, customized beverage AND save you money. 

Q: Where can I buy more cartridges after the Indiegogo campaign?

A: We are targeting fulfillment in September 2017.

Q: When will more cartridges be available after I run out?

A: After we fulfill orders from our Indiegogo campaign our backers will have priority access to order additional Cirkul bottles and cartridges. New customers will  be placed on a waiting list before being able to order a bottle and cartridges as we gradually increase the number of Cirkul bottles and users to match the number of flavor cartridges we can produce.

Q: Can I use carbonated water in my bottle?

A: Cirkul Sips have been designed for use with plain water, but we can't stop you from using your Cirkul bottle to drink carbonated water or any other kind of liquid for that matter! 

Q: Can I take Cirkul Sips through the airport security line?

A: Yes. Our Sips are well under the 3oz limit, so you can bring them with you to stay hydrated and save money where ever your travels take you!

Q: Are Cirkul Sips safe for diabetics to drink?

A: People with diabetes should always consult their physician, registered dietitian or certified Diabetes educator to evaluate how certain foods can fit into their meal plan. That said, Cirkul Sips can be an excellent sugar-free beverage option for people living with diabetes.

Q: Are Cirkul Sips safe for children?

A: It's always wise to check with your children's pediatrician for medical advice, but the ingredients in Cirkul Sips are recognized as safe for everyone, children included. However, since kids already bounce off the walls and Cirkul GoSips contain caffeine, we'd advise against children consuming them.

Q: Are Cirkul Sips safe for pregnant women or breastfeeding mothers?

A: The ingredients in Cirkul Sips are recognized as safe for everyone, but we'd recommend talking to your physician or healthcare provider about adding anything to your diet while pregnant or breastfeeding.

Q: What is sucralose?

A: Sucralose is a calorie free sweetener that is recognized by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) as safe for the general population, pregnant women and children. All of the delicious, with none of the calories!

Q: Why do some flavors use stevia?

A: Stevia leaf extract is another natural flavor with zero calories that some individuals prefer. Cirkul takes great pride in offering different options to satisfy the the needs of every lifestyle.

Q: Do Cirkul Sips have artificial coloring?

A: None of our flavors contain any artificial coloring. We utilize color to demonstrate flavor in many of our videos, but in reality Cirkul is colorless, which means no stains!

Q: Do Cirkul Sips have caffeine?

A: The only category of Sips that contains caffeine is Cirkul GoSips. The GoSip flavors are Black Cherry and Strawberry Watermelon.
