CLOWNADO - A Splatter-Soaked Thrill Ride to Hell!

Help US give YOU Nightmares!!!  The goal with CLOWNADO is to make a damned good, scary and splatter-filled, nonstop roller coaster ride of a Horror movie. It’s something new, fresh, original and unique but also familiar. Using only Practical Special Makeup Effects and old school styled Visual Effects, CLOWNADO has the vibe of Classic Horror movies we love. Think Evil Dead, Dead Alive, Bad Taste and Texas Chainsaw Massacre if Lucio Fulci was directing, all mixed in a swirling storm of insanity! Now add in scary supernatural Clowns and the cinematic visual style known as FILM NOIR.... intense composition with shadow and light.... and a bit of that incredible John Carpenter suspense (John was also influenced by Noir classics).... and you have an Ambitious, Over the Top Gorefest Epic!!  Don’t judge a book by it’s cover... This is certainly no comedy!

My name is Todd Sheets and I have had a long history making indie Horror films.  Beginning back in the days of VHS, 1989, I began making Horror movies for the huge video market worldwide.  Those were fondly known as the Wild West Days of Home Video... the Straight To Video  days... and I was one of the pioneers of that era.  I made over 22 feature films for video and cable all over the world.   I had a heart attack and almost died in 2012.  I had quadruple bypass surgery and spent 31 days in the hospital, and vowed to get back to what I loved if I survived...  making movies!   Since then, I have made three more feature films... Bonehill Road, House of Forbidden Secrets and Dreaming Purple Neon, in addition to contributing shorts for several anthology films and Producing another feature.  And that brings us to...

CLOWNADO - A one of a kind thrill ride into the depths of depravity and gore!!! Believe it or not, it is a Horror Film Noir, with crazed killer Clowns on a rampage from Hell... out for revenge and only BLOOD can quench their savage desire for destruction!!!!  Be ready for one twisted and scary adventure!  Scream Queen Linnea Quigley and Cult Drive-In Icon Jeanne Silver are set to star.

We ask you to keep an open mind and give us a chance. One thing we promise is you will be ENTERTAINED by our film. We will pour our hearts and souls into it and it will be made with real passion. We will make sure it is a stylish movie, with some good scares, some creepy scenes and some outrageous SPLATTER!!!!! For sure there are elements of the film that go wildly over the top, but with a title like this.... we have a LOT to live up to! We appreciate your support for the film and we cannot wait to share our adventure with you while we create this crazy movie!

It's SUCH an honor when a person takes time out of their lives to watch a movie you created.... THIS is what it is ALL about and why we make movies... for people to enjoy. To entertain an audience and to take away stress and negativity for 90 minutes of a person's life. When I was a kid, if I had a bad day, maybe a fight with a teacher or my parents or something... I would go to a movie and forget all about it for a couple hours... and when I came out, most of the time, things felt better... All I have ever wanted was to give back and maybe do that for other people. On behalf of the entire Cast and Crew of incredibly talented, hard working people involved... we thank you for any support you can give.

Every dime will be put into the film.   If we are lucky enough to go OVER the budget listed here, we will use every dime for more effects and production costs.  No salaries are ever taken by me, the director.  EVERY dime will be put on screen, so the more money we have, the better.  This budget listed was our BARE MINIMUM for the effects we need and to bring in some Horror icons to be involved.  But if we go OVER what was listed, that is simply amazing and it will  mean MORE special effects, MORE icons and MORE stunts... a bigger and better movie!!!!!

And make no mistake, this is NOT one of those campaigns we have all heard about - the real life Horror Stories... this film WILL be made and FINISHED and it WILL play in theaters, Film Festivals, Conventions and it will be released on DVD and BluRay worldwide... we have a business model that we follow on all of our releases.  House of Forbidden Secrets was an OFFICIAL SELECTION at over 88 Film Festivals, played theaters in America and also played at Horror Conventions.  It has been well received by critics and Horror Fans alike and is an homage to the Italian horror movies I loved as a kid.  Dreaming Purple Neon was released around Halloween 2016 and has been playing theaters, Film Festivals and conventions all over the world as well.  It has won over 15 Awards, been an Official Selection at over 73 Film Festivals and made over a dozen BEST OF 2016 Lists.  The film is STILL playing festivals and theaters and has been released on DVD / BluRay from Unearthed Films.  Bonehill Road had two incredible premieres, one in Kansas City and one in Hollywood.  The film has been listen on over 15 BEST OF 2017 Film Lists, gotten RAVE Reviews all over the web and in print and is building a loyal following all over the world.  Now the film is on a Filmfest, Convention and Theatrical tour until the Fall DVD/BluRay release.  All these films were incredible successes! 

I had never done a crowdfunding campaign until our film Bonehill Road, and it was a huge success.  In addition to the great financial support, we met so many incredible people and had so many wonderful experiences all over the world.  We're STILL filling perks on that campaign it was so well received!!! Your support means EVERYTHING to us, and to me personally.  You make dreams happen by helping smaller companies like our realize our goals and projects.  We're independent and we count on fans and friends out there to help make our film productions bigger and better.  The more support we get, the more films we can make.  Thanks to you.
