A little about me:

• My name is Kyra Hall and I am a sophomore at Ohio University studying health communication in the School of Communication Studies. I was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio.

• At Ohio University, I am a program assistant for the Global Leadership Center. The GLC is a two-year undergraduate certificate program that prepares students to become lifelong learners in order to serve as internationally-minded, skilled, attuned, professional and experienced leaders in all walks of life. As a program assistant, my main responsibility is recruiting Ohio University students into our program by giving presentations to lecture halls and assisting the director and teaching assistants. 
• As a requirement for the program, first year students travel to Vietnam in the spring for an international collaborative consulting project. However, this year am I fortunate enough to be extended the invitation to attend this 3 week trip with the program. 

How you can help me:

• Many people know the invasive cost of college tuition nowadays, especially me. I split my college tuition costs with both of my parents and work very hard to earn that money. 
• This trip costs $3,500 dollars, and any amount of a contribution would be a step closer to me reaching my goal and MUCH APPRECIATED. The trip consists of two weeks in Vietnam at Nha Trang University and a third week in Cambodia.
• Though I almost shut down the offer because it's too expensive, I refuse to pass up the opportunity to travel across seas and gain incredible experiences. I truly believe if you want something bad enough you can make it happen!
• If I can not raise enough money to fund the trip, I'm planning on donating the  money to the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of America. My sister Celina has been battling Crohn's disease for six years and recently had a proctocolectomy procedure. She is the strongest and bravest woman I know.

The Impact

Your contribution and support gets me one step closer to an amazing opportunity that I may not be offered again. This trip will allow me to gain global perspective and a greater understanding of different cultures in Southeast Asia, as well as the chance to interact with international students.
